A recent scan with Malwarebytes revealed Backdoor.Agent in the registry line of a program. After quarantining the problem, I could not use the program. The developer of the program has informed me that it is a false positive.

Attempting to reinstall the program always encounters error 1402 (which is a permissions error code).

Is anyone familiar with this problem?

In Malwarebytes it appears that I have the option to restore the file. Could this be safe to do? Will it achieve anything?

I thank you in advance for any assistance.
