I've recently installed a fresh copy of Windows 7 x64. Along with that I updated drivers from MSI website (including new renesas usb 3.0 driver). Then I connected my Lacie RIkiki USB 3.0 drive to copy something and while in the process files from the usb drive started disappearing en masse. I though it's a problem with the usb drive so I've wiped it clean and did a surface test with HD Tune. Everything is OK with the drive. Next I scanned my PC with MSE and then run Avira Rescue Disc and G-Data Rescue Disc (LiveCD antiviruses with current updates). No viruses, no malware, nothing. But now when I connected my Lacie Rikiki to backup some files my D:/downloads folder disappeared.

I've found another recent post with the same problem - http://forums.malwarebytes.org/index.php?showtopic=100138&st=0 and that guy also has Renesas USB 3.0 Driver installed. Is it possible that this is a problem with USB Drivers? I've also started to exhibit some other weird behaviour with usb devices - today when I started my PC the cursor wasn't moving and I had to unplug and plug my mouse again (mouse is plugged into usb 2.0 port so I'm not sure if it's relevant).

If you have any ideas please help me. Right now I'm gonna install newer renesas drivers from intel page instead of msi and hope that helps since the problem is random and I have no way to test it).
