myvalk99 Posted November 29, 2011 ID:499439 Share Posted November 29, 2011 hi all, ive visted here before and gotten good help, hope you can help again.i was on a site about oddities,,,weird stuff, and right after that, my agv popped up and warned of a trojan, tried to remove it , and it said the location was not valid. the next time i turned laptop on, my keyboard would not work. not in safe, not in safe with networking, not with restore last good , not with fix computer. it works in dos tho. acer aspire 4730zfred Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...

You may still be infected, but of course we need to get the keyboard working first. Take a look at This POST HERE that another user did and it helped them and see if that helps you. West bost Posted December 2, 2011 ID:500658 Share Posted December 2, 2011 Seems like your mapping on your keyboard has been replaced.Try taking out the battery and just use the ac cord and see what happens. Or try going to an virtue environment by using a bootable cd such as kaspersky bootable cd, hiren, UBCD4win, Norton Bootable cd, and so fourth. West bost Posted December 11, 2011 ID:503652 Share Posted December 11, 2011 You should be able to reformat using the factory restore function such as f8 when booting the laptop up and choose the repair option.
