I received the dreaded System Fix virus today and have spent hours trying to move it. Eventually found a great guide to get rid of it, but still can't! I downloaded and ran RKill which stopped the virus, made it dormant. I tried the TDSSKiller which found no problems. I then ran Malwarebytes twice, using a full system scan and it found plenty of viruses but not the System Fix one! I actually located the main System Fix virus files in Windows Explorer and scanned them with both Malwarebytes and Trend Micro anti-virus, neither recognized these files as a problem. Running Malwarebytes for a third time now, doing a full system check and it seems to have found one virus but I don't know what it is yet... but I'm not optimistic. Would running malwarebytes in safemode solve my problem? Why isn't this program identifying this virus as a problem, even when scanning the actual virus file? I have spent all day on this, tried everything but safe mode and still haven't found a solution! Help!

Install AVAST then update it, then run RKILL then after RKILL kills everything open up avast and run a full scan. Generally speaking you need a antivirus program to remove virus's although malwarebytes remove SOME virus's it is not a antivirus program.
