Issues:

  1. Was attemping to play Battlefield 3 and had been doing so succesfully since 11-10-11. About two nights ago my pc would not connect to an internet site dedicated to running the game (Origin - Battlog).
  2. I also noticed that the internet was also acting funny in the same time period; pages were not loading correct, seemed to get stuck, and were generally loading/performing at a slower rate.

Thinking maybe I had a virus I ran Malware Bytes to see if there was a virus. The first time I did; 3 infections were found. During the next several subsequent checks the same infection is found and when I click "remove selected" Malware said "removed and deleted". Upon reboot to be safe i run a check again and it finds the exact same virus apparently in an endless cycle.

Malware identifies the infection as:

Trojan.Agent C:Windows/svchoset.exe

I think this may have something to do with the game not running correctly. I want to remove the infections prior to re-installing the game. Any help or comments would be greatly appreciated!!

Thanks,

Jason Grigsby

"1" - Is the malware screen

"battlelog" - the windows error code from trying to get the game to work. Incidentally, windows claims the error may be on the other websites side but the servers are all up per EA.
