  1. Hi, This is concerning MWB 4.3.0. Earlier today I noticed that there was no MWB icon in my system tray, so I started MWB and immediately received a notification that it had found malware in C:\Program Files (x86)\ControlCenter4\BrCcLaru.dll several hours earlier. I had received no notification of it (I'm assuming because the sys tray icon was missing). After checking the offending file with Windows Defender and VirusTotal (both came up clean), I quarantined it nevertheless and moved on to trying to get the system tray icon back. No luck with that, so I then decided to check for MWB updates. I have updates set to automatic, so I was surprised to see that an update was available and hadn't been installed. The update downloaded and began the install, but then the install hung. After some time, perhaps 30 minutes or so, I decided to end the stalled install process. Task Manager showed that the MWB app was still running, of course, and using just 5->8% CPU usage, while the two MWB processes (MWB Component Update and MWB Service) were both hung at 0% CPU usage. I could close one of the two processes, can't remember which one, but the other process wouldn't let me close it because it was still being used (or something to that effect). So I ignored that and closed the MWB app and MWB and the stalled update were gone. Then I tried to restart MWB from the desktop icon, but it wouldn't start, so I did a cold boot to see if that would help, but no luck. MWB still won't start, even though I can see the main MWB running under processes (but not under apps) in task manager, as well as the MWB service and the MWB Component Update service. I'm guessing that MWB won't start because of the stalled update?? So I did some research on the MWB forum, downloaded and ran the support app to gather the logs together in a zip as you requested. The zip is attached to this. I'm not sure what you can see in the logs, so just in case: -- Windows Defender is the registered AV -- I've excluded the MWB folders and files in Windows Defender as per your instructions (Malwarebytes for Windows antivirus exclusions list – Malwarebytes Support https://tinyurl.com/ye77ron6) except for the two mbamservice.exe hosts. -- Windows version: Windows 10 Pro for Workstations build 19042.928; Intel(R) Xeon(R) E-2124G CPU @ 3.40GHz; 24 GB ram Thanks for any help... 2. Hi, I installed Malwarebytes few days ago to wipe out adware. This morning I started my PC and before the login screen all I got was a black screen and a blinking cursor. I tried everything but its unresponsive. I think it has happened because Malwarebyte accidentally deleted something important. Please tell me how to solve this problem. I've read countless threads but I'm not getting anything. Please help as soon as possible. And if its that process of loading log.txt and another txt file, please explain thoroughly. Help!
  3. I have just updated windows 10 to version 1703 Creator. Since then every time the PC starts up, after about 6 minutes I get a message stating Malwarebytes Anti-Exploit is taking to long to start and telling me to restart the PC. I also get this message if I try and open MBAE manually. The program version is
  4. Hi, So i've had malwarbytes for awhile and i've had zero issues with it up until a month now. Everytime i try to start it i get a error message that says unable to start service... i tried using mb clean tool times and i still get this issues. I've ran countless virus scans on my anti virus and nothing is wrong on that end. This is so annoying i really want malwarbytes but i cant even use it..
  5. The Exploit Protection is off and won't start, I have turned it on manually, I have clicked the warning telling me it should be on. In both cases it doesn't start, remains off. I have exited and restarted, I have rebooted the machine. So, what now??
  6. Hi there, after the last Malwarebytes update on Thursday or Friday, Windows 7 will no longer boot properly. I can't get it to start in safe mode either, I get an error in mbamchameleon.sys. At first, I encountered the problem everybody else was having. I then followed the instructions to update Malwarebytes and my computer ran for a couple minutes, then completely froze. Couldn't cntrl-alt-delete or anything. So I had to hard boot my computer, and from then on it would never boot up, and seemed to always error out when loading mbamchameleon.sys. I did get a BSOD during one of the boot up sequences, but the prevailing error on boot up was with mbamchameleon.sys. So, to reiterate, Windows 7 will not start, even in safe mode and also trying to get a dos prompt. How do I fix this issue while keeping my data on the SSD intact? I sent in a support request a few days ago, but no response. I also reinstalled windows 7 on another SSD in the computer, so there's that..but I really need the data that is on the other hard drive. 7. I upgraded to this version yesterday which appeared to then work OK. But on starting the PC today, it showed a connection error and when I try and start the program manually nothing happens. (Win7 HP SP1 64bit)
  8. I did a clean install just now. Shows "Your system is at risk." Fix Now and Start Protection does nothing. Shows as disabled but there isn't anything I can do at this point to get it to start. Thoughts?
  9. MB caused my PC (XP) to crash (blue screen) when a schedule scan was to start. When I rebooted my PC I could not start MB. The MB program would crash everytime. I tried running Cameleon but every attempt to fix the problem failed all 13 times. I don't know why it crahsed my PC. There were no warnings and I can't get MB to work at all sicne. Windows XP 32 bits Malware Ant-Malware (Paid version) I don't know the actual verson and cant start it up to findout what it was but only had the program for about 5 months now. 20140922 Malware Crash.bmp
  10. I've recentley ran into an issue where MBAM won't start. It's not from an infection, and I've uninstalled and re-installed it twice. I'm not sure what else to do. Any help?
