  1. MWB Adware Removal tool was detecting an infection but it kept re-appearing after restart. I tried installing malwarebytes but kept getting the error 'Unable to connect to service.' When I checked out services.msc, nothing was listed from malwarebytes. It appears that whatever is on my computer is preventing virus protection and I definitely need help. I have posted my FIRST.txt just as requested. Please let me know what I need to do to fix this so I can run the program. FRST.txt Addition.txt
  2. Hello... I'm a premium user here and need some help. First off, I have NO SIGNS of infection whatsoever (I guess we'll see ). My computer runs wonderfully.. My ONLY problem is that I am unable to upgrade (and now I cannot even install) MBAM 3.x. I had been running version 3 already and started having a problem only after I was prompted to install your most recent update. The setup launched and as soon as I clicked "OK" to the default of ENGLISH I get this error (attached). I was persistent to get your latest version installed so I started troubleshooting. I saw the other post about checking for "Malwarebytes" in the UNTRUSTED certificates for this same "Could not call proc" error but it was not found there. I manually downloaded your latest version (mb3-setup-consumer-3.1.2.1733-1.0.141-1.0.2092.exe) and still same error. I ended up downloading your latest MBAM cleaner (mb-clean-3.1.0.1008.exe) to remove v3 because I noticed I got the SAME ERROR when I tried to UNINSTALL v3 I thought this was important to highlight for you. So... I went back to an older MBAM 2 and it installed just fine. I updated it, ran a full scan, nothing found. I'm stumped as to why v3 is no longer cooperating. The only thing I have recently changed was installing a new router. Thank you in advance! CheckResults.txt Addition.txt FRST.txt
  3. I purchased MBAM 2.2.1.1043 Premium and MBAE will not take the included license anymore.... What version will? Just Re-Imaged a clean install.
  4. So my MBAM wouldn't update so I decided to uninstall and reinstall it (using the MBAM cleaner tool of course). I go to reinstall it and it won't install. It gets to a point during extraction of the files for installation and just exits completely (as shown in video). I tried to run a HijackThis and almost immediately after starting a scan it crashes. On the top bar between the second it freezes and crashes it says "01 - Hosts file redirection". Thinking I have some Malware I run a Bitdefender 2016 (my main AV) full system scan, a Trend Micro House Call full system scan, a RougeKiller scan, a AdwCleaner scan, and a HitmanPro3 scan. They all come up with nothing. The errors keep persisting, so I have no idea what to do now. Thanks, -Finnster
  5. I have picked up a couple of viruses recently and was recommended to try using malwarebytes to remove it and when I go to install it I get a run time error can't proc? I'm running farbar scan now. The affected pc can't brows the Internet so I'm using my tablet for post and such.
