I just installed Malwarebytes Free v188.8.131.52-1.0.1061 on my Win 10 laptop and didn't realize that there's been a recent change in the installation process per the support article Deactivate Premium Trial in Malwarebytes for Windows. Instead of entering my email address during the installation I answered "Maybe Later" when prompted if I want to enter a product activation key. This automatically installed Malwarebytes Free (i.e., I was not required to go to Settings | Account | Deactivate to deactivate the 14-day trial), but now I am unable to disable the Premium setting at Settings | Security
with testing of the Malwarebytes version 4 beta and with Malwarebytes support tool version 184.108.40.2061beta . I notices some of issue as well . first off . MB v4 beta is leaving leftovers folders and files and even registry keys in the Windows registry which can not be to deletes with an error message is to pop-up as well. secondly . there is an entry for MB v4beta in the windows registry which is seems to me that Malwarebytes version 4 is now to forced registered itself in the windows Security Center as an av and thus entry also can not be deleted even though that MBv4 have been remove
Hi, My laptop was not able to run windows security center service and security essential was not able to run and windows update not possible. Kindly advice. Regards, Senthil
