  1. Hello, I seemingly have some kind of hidden virus on my laptop. after clicking an older "normal" link on the Acer forum. Should have refered to a shop page but instead it showed a fake version of a news website of my country, with a fake story about bitcoins. I haven't clicked anything on that page and closed it. And i started up the anti virus program to have a quick check nothing was wrong. But after half a minute running the program my laptop starts to freeze and nothing responds anymore. i forced the computer to stop by holding power button , after restart, the computer still f
  2. I've been having issues for a while with the display settings of the Malwarebytes app on my laptop. When I open the app, it opens zoomed in on part of the main page, and I'm unable to reach any of the corners or do much of anything in the app. I can't even make it to the scan button because it's zoomed in so much that "run scan" is offscreen. I've managed to work around the issue by setting my laptop's display settings to 150% when I use the app, and then putting it back to 250% (which is the best setting for the laptop) when I'm done. Does anyone have a more permanent solution for this?

  4. Hello, a random window keeps popping up then goes away. Not sure what it is, but it keeps bothering me. Any help would be appreciated, Thanks!
  5. Same problem and even posted about it here: https://forums.malwarebytes.com/topic/201810-cmd-prompt-keeps-popping-up-out-of-nowhere-possible-virus-read-other-threads-on-it-w10/
  6. Hi, I've been having a problem for the past week or so and been unable to understand or solve it. Once or twice every hour, sometimes less, at no specific times a small window pops up on my screen for a split-second and then immediately disappears regardless of what I'm doing at the moment (browsing the web, watching a movie, playing a game, etc...). I've read in forums and tried looking at the task scheduler and event viewer but was unable to find anything that matches the times of the popups. I tried recording my screen and paused the video exactly on the frame that the popup appears (s
  7. This happens to me too.. Should I be worried? From what I can gather this is an error related to Microsoft Office. Not a Virus of some sort? I just couldn't be bothered to go through these steps...
  8. Hi Kevin, I'm dealing with the same issue as Dansh. I've already did all the steps exactly as you described but neither Malwarebytes, adwcleaner or EEK detected anything.

  12. Hi - im also having this problem. Started a few days ago. Using Chrome. Something is definitely up.....
  13. Hi, I unfortunately am here due to some malware content I have on my computer which occurred by clicking on a link to download a font. The symptoms at first were that there were several added extensions in chrome which would create pop up links from happening. Once I noticed the problem I ran malware bytes and also Adwcleaner which found a few items. I figured that problem was ok since the extensions did not load on every chrome opening, but that was not the case. Now what happens is every time I click on a link that opens in a new window or a gmail desktop notification it will link to a
