  1. Using Windows 10. I've had various bits of Malware install on my machine, including Max Video Player and Wajam. It appears I have removed most of it but it has left my PC in a state. Some Wajam files keep coming back though. AVG won't start and I cannot reinstall or uninstall it (click on these buttons does nothing). Even clicking on the freshly downloaded install EXE file does nothing. Windows Update no longer works (error is: 0x80070422) Google Chrome takes minutes to load some websites now. I use Classic Shell for my Start Menu - I can't often get to 'Programs'
  2. Hello - I have been “infected” by some sort of browser redirect, where ALL Google searches on both Chrome AND Safari are automatically redirected to Yahoo. On Chrome, the tab w/ results says “Wajam Yahoo Search” and on Safari, a URL that includes “searchpage.com” appears briefly before the Yahoo results page. I’ve tried multiple things on various forums and YouTube video, but nothing addresses this specific problem. Malwarebytes found 7 threats that were cleared, but none of them solved for the browser redirect problem. Please help, I’m getting desperate and don’t want to resort to
  3. Hi All,I am having an issue where when I do a google search, it redirects to yahoo search, but shows as search.yahoo wajam. I cannot figure out how to remove this. I tried Malwarebytes and it is not picking it up. I tried chrome extensions and wajam is not listed. I removed all extensions and even removed chrome and tried to reinstall. It only affects google search. Anything I can do. This happens on all browsers. I am assuming it is spyware? I have looked at many wajam removal sites, but I do not have anything on my mac that has wajam. Here are some screenshots after google searching t

  5. What is Social2Search? The Malwarebytes research team has determined that Social2Search is adware. These adware applications display advertisements not originating from the sites you are browsing. How do I know if my computer is affected by Social2Search? You may have seen these warnings during install: and this warning when you try to uninstall the program: You may see this entry in your list of installed programs: and a randomly named certificate in your list of Trusted Root certificates: How did Social2Search get on my compu
  6. I need help. My little brother has just learned how to download things from the internet. and he has. I clean the computer with MBAM and SUPERAntiSpyware at least every other day. But this one hijacker wont go away. I have run at least 7 adware/malware removing tools, and every single time, i open up chrome, and its still there. I need help, or this will drive me crazy!
  7. Hi, I need some help removing Ad by Notification which I think installed when I somehow got Wajam on my machine. Malwarebytes says it quarantined and removed Wajam and I tried uninstalling it as well, but I think it's still hiding. I ran adwcleaner after that and it removed a number of more files. Now all it finds is a registry file that keeps coming back and which points to a SySWow64 folder. It's completely hijacking my browsers with pop-ups, -unders, or ads in new windows whenever i touch any white space or even click on the scroll bar of my browsers. Ugh. Also, I had Azureus on my ma
  8. I try to run Malwarebytes scan weekly, and today's came up with 13 malicious items. 10 are registry keys with vendor name PUP.Optional.CrossRider and PUP.Optional.Wajam. The other 3 are files: PUP.Optional.Conduit.A, PUP.Optional.OpenCandy and PUP.Optional.CrossRider. I really don't know what these mean, but perusing the forums I see some folks have had these and run into Big Issues when simply removing them. Can you please provide me some idiot-proof instrux on how to proceed? (I do computer kinda like I do car: as long as everything's working I can make it go anywhere, but if anything go
