  1. I have tried, (seemingly), every method to rid my computer of a browser redirect virus. Chrome's "clean-up" doesnt detect anything, and neither does the malwarebyte scanner. The virus doesnt appear to act like any other i've seen or read about. Google is still the default browser, and is only redirected when i click on a link provided by a google search. In which case, a new window is opened with the link, with the original window turning into a yahoo search result with the original search. Again, i have tried restoring windows, uninstalling chrome completely, scanning with both chrome tools a
  2. Please help! I have an HP stream 11 and it suddenly had a message come up regarding malware?? I've tried everything I've read in forums for the last 24 and nothing had helped, it's just getting worse. I no longer I'm able to delete certain files because I don't have to permission. Malwarebytes keeps popping up with a message telling me that PUPs have blocked me from going to a site that I'm trying to go to to clean the virus. I have downloaded as many different malware removers as I can but my computer is becoming less and less usable. Please help!!! Also, every scanner/detector, comes back wi
  3. Hello Malwarebytes forum, I have had the issue of a virus that symantec, the free version of malwarebytes, and Avast could not detect. I saw in other forums the first application always mentioned is the adwcleaner tool for cleanups of this severity. So i download and use adwcleaner, lo and behold it finds 10+ threats on my system. I click clean, restarts my system, and i rescan with adwcleaner which detects 0 threats this time. Im thinking of downloading Roguekiller to further my investigation, but after a day of dealing with the infection i thought I'd look for help from a profess
  4. Please help, whenever I open my browser a white box with ads in it apears on the right side of my screen and sometimes I get redirects to www.tribe.com or 123srv, Ive used numerous programs and its not in my extensions or plugins, I use windows 8.1 and it is making my computer hard to use, please help
  5. Please help, my computer has some sort of virus/malware and any program I try can't remove it, so far ive tried Mcafe, spybot, bitdefender, malwarebytes and a few more and none of them can detect my issue, it is a white box with links in it on the right hand side of my screen in any type of internet browser I use, its not a plugin, extension or addon or at least I cant find it using windows 8.1, also sometimes there will be redirects to www.tribe.com and a 123srv redirect but most importantly there is also ads at the top f my browser sometimes, it is slowing my internet speed and making my com
  6. Okay, so I have a weird virus in my flash drive, or possibly just an error, either way I need help. What it's done is make files and folders inaccessible, (It says "The file or directory is corrupted and unreadable) and created new folders and files with strange names and that have a size even bigger than is able to be fit into the drive. Nothing is able to be deleted or copied/cut and pasted. No virus scan or anything can detect any virus. I can provide more information if requested. Here's a screenshot of the files, and I can take more screenshots if requested: http://postimg.org/image/dguo6
  7. I have removed this infection twice I think with combofix, but I must be wrong because it keeps reappearing. It does nothing to my desktop, and Spybot notifies me each time I start the computer up that it's trying to delete my CMD, taskMGR, drivers, and a few other components. I simply click deny and remember that decision. It is a redirect infection. I have conquered it and been without redirection for the rest of the day, but every time I restart the computer it seems to reinfect my machine. I have scanned multiple times with TDSSkiller, Malewarebytes, and Rougekiller, as well as Combofix
