So with the suggestion of my friend, I installed Malwarebytes and it found PUPs and I think I caught i glimpse of one rootkit. I uninstalled Malwarebytes because it was lagging down my pc and installed MBAR to check if the rootkit was stil there. After I scanned with MBAR, it said that there was no malware detected and I guess Malwarebytes did it's job; I tried reinstalling Malwarebytes but it keeps giving me "An error occured while downloading. Please check your internet connection to the internet and try again. For trouble shooting.." So my question is, is my pc good now? I can't really know for sure because I can't reinstall Malwarebytes. sidenote: havent uninstalled mbar yet and I'm gonna save the log on a notepad. Thank you

When I open my MS Surface (Windows 10) and start to log in, the screen goes black. I opened Task Manager, and noticed that MalWareBytes was not responding. I tried to stop it, but access is denied. Any ideas?
