  1. Hello! 2. So I was surfing the net and downloaded an iso mounting software which happened to have just one setup file, After I executed it a window not typical of an installation program opened which had about three buttons. After that a bunch of CMD windows opened and I powered off my modem right away and ran malwarebytes along with adw cleaner and hitman pro. That seems to have taken care of most of all pups and trojans as well as the fishy processes and registry keys. The problem is that a single trojan egguard resgistry key keeps coming up each time I boot up my pc and run malwarebytes and it's called Egguard PrxySvrRST which it seems no matter what I do I can't get rid of it. egguard.txt
  3. I'm very paranoid about malware and related matters. I have recently been paranoid about DNS Changers and I have recently experienced small signs of such an issue. When I enter my IP address in firefox in order to look up my DNS Server on the website of my ISP, I get a different one from when I look for my DNS Server on my command prompt. When I look via my command prompt, I see two servers. What is partly peculiar is the fact that one of those servers listed there is just my IP address. I don't know where the other one came from; I also don't know why the servers are different when I look it up on my command prompt or my ISP's website. Summary: ISP's website says my DNS is A. The command prompt says it is B (which is just my IP address) and C (unknown). Is this a sign of a DNS changer? (If this changes anything: I didn't set up my internet and I have an ethernet connection) Perhaps some of you might be facepalming while reading this but I have no experience with anything related to these kinds of matters. (I also connect to the internet via ethernet if that changes anything). I have just been concerned with the possibility of a DNS changer. Please don't respond sarcastically as I just want to learn more on this topic. Thank you for understanding and taking your time to read this message.
  4. I have been unable to install malware bytes on my what I thought was a clean install of windows and i put in a blank USB which wasn't containing The RAT also but now my MacBook Air has what my pc has need fix right away so I can fix my PC. MacBook is running latest OS X I forget exactly what it is but after trying everything on my pc I deleted and formatted my hdd's and the Trojan is on a virtualMbR X:. 5. Hello, I would appreciate if someone could help me please. Bitdefender has located it and says it's blocking about seven different blocks so far, each block begins with the same 'Trojan.Agent.CHUI' but each ends with some different letters / numbers. I had an email come through which had a trojan detcted in it but I did not open the email or anything so I don't know if it is connected. I run Malwarebytes but it didn't detect anything. However when I tried to do a system restore the 'Restore' button was greyed out and unable to be clicked so that is worrying as well. Any ideas or solutions or answers would be very much appreciated. With many thanks in advance.
  6. Resources were being hogged up, and I found the files, googled them and have found out about their nature. Attached are my frst files, any help would be greatly appreciated! FRST.txt Addition.txt
