  1. Any updates on a fix for the svcvmx.exe virus? I searched your site & found the question asked multiple times, but no actual answers. Do you know how to fix it? Is there a way to fix it? Should I just smash my cpu & get a new one? Thank you in advance for any help you can provide.
  2. I have downloaded Malwarebytes to try to get rid of a Trojan I recently got, but it wasn't working, so I put it in chameleon mode only to get the message that the master config file couldn't be copied. I downloaded FRST and got my files, but don't know where to go from here. Addition_09-08-2017 01.53.20.txt FRST_09-08-2017 01.53.20.txt
  3. Yesterday I noticed my computer was running exceptionally slower and quickly found out that I had 9 instances svcvmx.exe running in my background. I tried closing them, but they quickly kept reappearing. I tried deleting the files, but didn't have authorization. My malware bytes wasn't able to update its database so I tried reinstalling it, but now it won't even open. I booted my computer in safe mode and tried opening my task manager, however every time I try to open it immediately closes. Still wasn't having luck with malware bytes so I booted my computer back up in normal mode. I'm unable to open my task manager now, even though I was able to prior to the reinstalling of malwarebytes. I referenced this topic for help and ran the MBAR to start the process. After about half an hour it found 3000+ items and I cleaned them up. MBAR prompted me to reboot my computer and after doing so I am still unable to open malware bytes. I was able to open Avast and ran a virus scan and it found 19 items. After I deleted them I tried running Malwarebytes again and no luck. I even ran MBAR again and found 0 items. I ended up getting frustrated and called it a night. All of this was yesterday. I'm currently at work and won't be able to provide a log until I get home around 6pm ET, but I would really appreciate some help on this matter. My last resort is to do a full system reboot and that is something I would like to try and avoid. Thanks!
  4. Having this same problem with the same harmful program preventing me from opening Task Manager & also Malwarebytes. Tried uninstalling and re-installing after booting computer into safe mode and scanning with multiple other programs which claimed to have cleaned the virus but to no avail.
  5. I've tried so many different ways but I just can't find a way to get rid of svcvmx.exe. It is slowing down my pc, and I have a lot of files that I do not want to loose. I cannot open any Anti-malware software at all except for windows defender, of which does not see svcvmx as a dangerous file. I am running windows 10. I have tried chameleon and gotten nowhere, and I'm just flat out lost. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
  6. I've tried mbar, but it stops responding sometime during the scan and then when I attempt to reopen it, it says file is in use. What do I do?
  7. I got a virus called SVcvmx which won't let me run any anti virus and uses up too 50% of my cpu. I don't know how to remove it because every time I try to install something that will help it just says "The requested resource is in use." It says that even in safe mode, I have windows 10 pro and when I go into file registry editor and get to the svcvmx REG_SZ it won't let me delete it and CPX.
  8. So I'm infected with a rootkit and I've tried to remove myself, but I haven't been successful, it restricts access to malwarebytes and malwarebytes rootkit removal. I get the message " requested resource is in use" when I try to open an .exe such as malwarebytes. I've tried going into safe mode to delete the infected files but the virus still works in safe mode and prevents me from doing anything to try and remove it. Any help would be appreciated thanks!
  9. My computer has been infected with the svcmx.exe virus. I've tried so many different methods to remove it but none of them seem to work. I've recently installed the free version of Malware Bytes, but for some reason when I try to open it, a dialogue box pops up saying "C:\Program Files\Malwarebytes\Anti-Malware\mbam.exe. The requested resource is in use."
  10. Malware named svcvmx is preventing me from using any sort if anti-malware in my system. Also causing my google chrome to crash, even though it is not a enabled extension. Cannot kill the malware in task manager and have tried many uninstaller pro software. All which have been unsuccessful.I would greatly appreciate some feedback thanks!
