  3. Hello all, first time poster. I have started coming across weird networking/firewall issues after prolonged use of my computer (I leave my computer on for the most part.) I'd say after about 2-3 days of being on, these issues will suddenly start occurring. Such issues include - OBS Studio will not authenticate with Twitch to provide API elements (The chat and stream info windows will not appear, resuilting with the error: failed to authenticate with twitch) Loading webpages taking a longer time than before... about 10 seconds to load up a google search page. Microsoft Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP) will not work period - either via the internet or locally to my home server. My computer can ping my home server, but the server cannot ping my computer from command prompt.... despite my computers DHCP-assigned static IP showing up when using arp -a. Windows Defenders Firewall WILL NOT load (Although I hear that MBAM may set the Windows Defender processes to be Manual rather than automatic so that may explain this) When creating sessions in games like Monster Hunter World, the session takes F O R E V E R to load. Likewise, using Splashtop (my work's remote access software) to remotely access client computers also can take a prolonged time than normal. Restarting the computer resolves all these issues and everything works as normal. Me being in IT, I thought a networking issue might have been causing this (Specifically thinking that port 443 was being blocked or something) but after running several port checks, updating my routers firmware, updating my LAN driver on my pc ect I determined that the issue is isolated to my system. After finding this revelation, I have come here to seek help on the matter. I am running Windows 10 1909 with MBAM Premium 4.1.0.56. I am on my Mac and I am reviewing the installations on System Info and I see two dates that call my attention, on May 4 2020 and April 13 2020, I didn't installed Malwarebytes on those dates and it's reported as if I had when I didn't. I first installed Malwarebytes on March 12, 2020 and on May 18, 2020 but not on this previously mentioned dates. Why is it reported this way?

I have found several of my clients who all are using Malwarebytes Pro Version and have had there browser infected with a url called "accessblocked.azurewebsites.net" It admonishes them to NOT turn off the computer and lists itself as Microsoft Support with a phone number to contact. The fake support then requests a credit card to effect the repair. They don't understand why Malwarebytes did not block the website. The website continually reconnects itself so there is no opportunity to back out of the display other than exiting the browser via task manager with a delete of the browser task. I am not sure how they arrived at this point (maybe an email with attachment or another website that redirects to this scam. Any help would be appreciated from Malwarebytes' software engineers.
  13. Hello, I recently installed Malwarebytes Premium in April. I decided tonight I wanted to add the VPN. I followed the instructions to my.malwarebytes.com but there was not a "Add Privacy Protection" option on my subscription page. So I bought the VPN for 5 devices and assumed Malwarebytes would subtract the difference as it says on the website but the end result is I now have an additional Premium Account and License Key and instead of 5 Devices it is $59.99 for 3 Devices and still no VPN. Funny thing is now when I go to my subscriptions there is now an option to "Add Privacy Protection" and of course that will be another additional charge? Top it all off I a few suspicious emails one in my spam. Very strange behavior on my home PC and phone as well. Malwarebytes on my phone shows apps that have not been updated since 2008? And I'm constantly seeing some kind of Verizon stuff everywhere?? I don't even use Verizon services. There are so many things that have happened lately, I am just completely overwhelmed. Please if anyone can help I sure could use it. Thank you.

  15. I've already opened a ticket with support via email but it feels like they aren't reading what I'm writing and it's been quite frustrating, so I'm hoping someone here can help me out. I downloaded the free-trial of Malwarebytes on April 24, 2020. To download and install the free-trial I wasn't asked for any information nor was I asked to create an account (<<this detail is VERY IMPORTANT). It was as easy as double-clicking the .exe and once the setup was finished and the software was installed, everything was working perfectly. I ran a scan, found some PUPs and got rid of them. Great! As my free-trial neared its end, I thought I liked it the software enough to buy a premium membership, which I did through the desktopp app: I entered my credit card information and waited to receive instructions for activation. Again, all done through the desktop app without having an account: I placed the order and waited for my transaction to be processed by my credit card company, which it was on May 8, 2020: From that day until now I haven't received my key. Shortly after this, I realized that since keys are to be emailed to you and I was NEVER PROMPTED TO MAKE AN ACCOUNT, that I was never going to get my key. So I made an account and contacted support. I also though once I made an account and associated it with my desktop app that somehow it would automatically link the payment that had been made to my newly created account, but nope. What's weird to me is how I was allowed to make a payment WITHOUT HAVING AN ACCOUNT if an account is a necessary part of the process to obtain a key. My email exchanges with support led nowhere since they didn't understand what the issue was. Maybe it was my fault for failing to explain it properly, but it was still quite frustrating and I'm hoping someone can help me out here. Thanks!

So I did a factory reset on my PC to fix some stupid issue I was having, I did deactivate MB before continuing the factory reset, but now after I have done all that and my issue is fixed, all the buttons on the Malwarebytes software is greyed out and I'm unable to click on any of the icons inside Malwarebytes? As you can see every thing is greyed out and I can't click on anything this is a new fresh installation of Malwarebytes

I was reinstalling Malwarebytes off of the official website, https://www.malwarebytes.com/ And when I downloaded the setup file called "MBSetup.exe" I decided tto run it in virustotal, however quite an uncanny thing came up. Can anyone care to explain why this is, I tested multiple times on the official website this download, so I know it's the real deal one. I even decided to scan an older version of the same downloade setup, the one with a really long name, and it resulted in this, anyone have ANY ideas why this is happening
  18. Ok, so I feel like I'm going insane. Like every third click on Chrome either gives me a Pop-up ( Usually something pornographic) or an add. When googling something, I receive a dozen of ads and sites which appear above what Im searching for. This is what I've tried to do thus far: *Run Adwcleaner *Run Malwarebytes ( And malwarebytes pro) *Run Spybot, and two others I dont remember the name of atm. *Boot in safe mode and repeat all of the above. *Went into Programs and Features to see if there were any programs I don't remember installing. *Checking google chrome extensions and afterwards reinstalling it. *I've tried disabling Pop-ups in Google Chrome settings, and got myself an extension called uBlock which is supposed to block pop ups. Feel like I've tried everything at this point. Please help!

All: I have been asked by a member of the DisplayLink support team, a tech solutions provider for (among things) USB-dock based graphics display, hot desking and other peripheral support, to share information with Malwarebytes, its users and, specifically, the Malwarebytes support team, regarding issues/conflicts that I experienced between the latest Malwarebytes for Windows software and the latest DisplayLink for Windows drivers and software; as well as to share the solution/steps that I came up with and discovered to solve my issue. I note that I am currently (i) a Malwarebytes premium subscriber (running Malwarebytes for Windows 4.0.4.49), and (ii) a DisplayLink software user (specifically, "DisplayLink USB Graphics Software for Windows 9.3 M0 drivers") with a USB 3.0 "Plugable UD-3900 Dual Display Universal Docking Station". The specific request from DisplayLink appears in its forums (in a response to my own "How To"-type posting) here (and/or at the top of page 2): https://displaylink.org/forum/showthread.php?t=64896&goto=newpost; and, as evidenced by the posting itself, a member of DisplayLink's tech support team (named Alban) would like to work together with Malwarebytes' team on fixing the below-described issue. The material substance of both my issue and the posting that I left in the DisplayLink forums is cut and paste hereinbelow (here’s the original link, with my post at the bottom of “page 1”: https://displaylink.org/forum/showthread.php?t=64896) ADDITION TO THE ABOVE: (18) Reinstall Malwarebytes. As an added measure, and whether or not this is superfluous or necessary is totally up to you: leave the "enable self-protection module early start" option (in advanced security settings) unchecked, as enabling this setting specifically "...changes the order of services and drivers associated with your computer's startup" (see the MB for Windows User Guide here: https://support.malwarebytes.com/docs/DOC-3564), and you want (or, at least I want) the DisplayLink "dlcdcncm" ethernet adapter driver for the USB dock loaded early on in the PC's startup process so that the internet (using ethernet, not WiFi) works right away at the Windows login screen (and during your boot process).

  22. I ran the basic repair tool without thinking (I was fairly tired) and upon restarting, literally nothing works. I can log in alright but programs won’t run, either doing nothing or giving me error messages. I can’t even see any available networks never mind connect to them. I’ve gotten errors for the Microsoft Notification Center, windows firewall, windows update settings, and once there was even a log telling me that the video hardware itself was damaged, which never came back after a second reset. A system restore ends up failing as well, saying it can’t access a file. Please help me ASAP.
  23. My headsets stopped working when i removed a malware from my PC. I clicked on restart via malwarebytes for the removal process to be finished and then my PC frose on the blue screen where it says restarting and then i turned the PC off and turned it on again. But once i did my PC had remove my headsets software drive and also out of nowhere my device driver was not working properly and the troubleshooter didn't detect anything. I need help pls someone help me and also this happend to my gaming headset directly after the restart and also now i have no malware left or any threat or virus but i watched YouTube and try to see solutions and not any solution worked. So pls I need someone in Support & Help to help me because no YouTube videos could help me and also pls contact me as fast as possible or comment if you know a solution. (i have checked for update drivers for my specific headsets if didn't even have any)
  24. Virgin Mobile Samsung Galaxy A8 (2018) [SM-A530W] Android version 9 Phone is not rooted. No other security software running. I am unable to add any apps to the whitelist. I can view the whitelist, but that is it. I cannot figure out how to edit it in any way. As it is now, it is just blank. Nothing is in the whitelist. Long pressing apps in the, "App Manager" section does nothing other than go to that app's info within MBAM. From there I can go into Android's app info section where I can either uninstall or force stop. On the scanner page all I can do is remove things from the list by swiping left or right. Long pressing does nothing, just pressing does nothing. There is no option to modify the whitelist through settings. I have premium and the app is up-to-date. So, why can I not do anything with the whitelist other than look at it?
