  1. I know you probably don't support beta software, but I thought you might like to know that starting with Windows Insider build 17040, mbamservice.exe is crashing on a regular basis. Up until then, it worked fine through all the insider builds. When it crashes, it gets restarted automatically. Here is the event entry in the event log.   2. I just installed the free upgrade version of the Premium product. It won't start. Error message says service won't start. How do I fix this?

  5. Hello, I have been trying to resolve an issue I have been having with MalwareBytes for the last couple weeks now. Every time I run a scan it will go through the normal process until it starts trying to scan through the Program Data files, and then the service will stop working. I have tried reinstalling MBAM a few times with no luck. I was able to run ADWcleaner with no issues. I ran the scans I saw in previous forums and have attached them to the thread.   6. When scanning the service is terminated randomly, it always occurs with less than 2 minutes. I use Peemium version 3.4.5, installed on a new installation of Windows Server 2008 SP2 on an IBM System X3200 Erro: We're sorry, but the Malwarebytes service stopped working.   7. Hello, Actually I've had the same problem since MB yesterday's update. First, all automatic protections were turned off this morning. Second exploit protection cannot be turned on anymore and I have the message on my MB desktop that my computer is not fully protected. Can somebody help?
  8. Could we ever expect to see a VPN service from MalwareBytes as an included or seperate service? Yes, there are hundreds of VPN services out there already but a lot of those are by companies that a lot of us may have never heard of. When someone wants to use a VPN, they're expecting to use it for their privacy and the companies that run a lot of VPNs, as I already said, pretty much aren't reputable. I'm sure their users wonder if the service provider is stealing or logging their information without their knowledge and possibly making a profit by selling that information. I'd think seeing a VPN
  9. Just an important remark, since I was able to solve the problem myself: The automatic installation of the last update (3.3.1) did not work. "Unable to start service" I first had to manually uninstall the program and then reactivate it with my license. Unfortunately, all settings had to be reset. That's not good behavior. I have windows 10 64bit (german settings) pro with latest "fall creators update".
  10. I have a "lifetime" subscription with an ID & KEY on this computer. I was notified a new version was available so i installed it. [Version 3.2.2] When I attempt to "Activate License" I get a message: "The usage level has exceeded the max volume allowed. There is a problem with your license key and we are unable to activate your license. Please check your license details and try entering your key again." This is the same computer that had the Lifetime subscription working for years. ??? How to correct this error???
  11. New free version 3 adds lots of components that I don't want for on-demand scanning. While the previous version was very user-friendly, this one expects constant Internet connection, leaves a service and a try icon running, and no doubt has other problems I haven't discovered yet. I'm running Windows 7 SP1.   12. I am trying to download the most recent version of Malwarebytes. Having failed after several attempts I used MB-Clean and followed the instructions to re-install Malwarebytes. Sadly after rebooting in the process I got the attached MB-Clean message and am still unable to "Connect to Service" What is the cure for this? Thank you mb-clean-results.txt
  13. Guys, I've got a big problem. Yesterday, while working on my system, I received notification (ostensibly from Malwarebytes) that there was an update to download which I dutifully did and installed. Now, when I try and do a scan, I get a pop-up message telling me that I can no longer connect to the Service. What gives? Up to this point, I've been happy with the product. Now, I'm wondering.   14. Background: I've had MBAM installed on my computer for years. After I got hit with a load (And I mean a LOAD - Stuff from tencent to no publisher to some chinese name) after running a sketchy installer (I know, I know. Don't run untrusted .exe files...) Malwarebytes has stopped working on my computer. Whenever I boot up and whenever I try to run it, I get the message, "Unable to connect to the Service".   15. I came back from holiday and your anti ransomware wouldn't run. I checked the problems on your forums and found no reasonable reply. So I uninstalled and tried to download again. After several mind numbing encounters with your anti-bot software I registered again, verified my email address and ... nothing no download, not instructions nothing.   17. On two windows 10 laptops, my Premium Malwarebyte is unable to connect to the service. One laptop is brand new en even the cleanup tool en reinstalling won't help.   18. I've been trying to get MB3 to work ever since the update announcement went out over the 2 update mechanism. I've wiped the whole program over and over again, disabled just about every program i could imagine interfering, whitelisted under MSE, tried every combination I can think of of installing and wiping in both safe mode and regular mode.   20. Hi guys, Hoping you could assist we me with an issue that we've been having with our MalwareBytes Anti-Exploit installation in a Server 2008 environment.   21. Hello good people, - I've noticed that whenever I boot up my pc(Windows 10 x64 Home, Anniversary Update 14393.10) there's a an error with the event id: 7000 affecting the MBAMSwissArmy service. The software itself does appear to be functioning and I have noticed no immediate issues, but given that MBAMSwissArmy is a .sys file I'm assuming that it's of atleast some significance to the overall good functioning of MBAM.   22. Hi, my name is Diego and I am running into quite a big problem. Whenever I try to change permissions, run most .exe files, install a new game, my computer pops up with the same text box: C:\...\...\...\... The specified service does not exist as an installed service. I can't play a lot of the games I want to, my clock automatically went from Eastern time to Pacific, my date went forward 5 days, and I am incredibly hindered as a gamer and programmer.   23. I am having a problem with Malwarebytes. For whatever reason, it will not automatically launch whenever I turn on my computer. Not only does it not launch when the computer starts, but trying to launch Malwarebytes by clicking on the icon does not work either.   24. Hi there! Im a first-timer on these forums, so I apologize if I'm sort of naïve to the workings around here. But to get to my problem, I've recently came across a two-fer of problems on this computer.
