  1. Hi, My PC (Windows 7) was infected by searchou while I was trying out PrivatizeVPN. Norton Antivirus stopped MagniPic but I still downloaded the searchou problem (it shows up in the address bar in Firefox, Chrome and IE). How do I remove it? Have downloaded all of the applications that were listed in the following forum: http://forums.malwarebytes.org/index.php?s=199e384080d81da60ebf8780a05bd0b5&showtopic=124649 Thank you very much! Scott
  2. Hi, I am a rookie at this and got infected by searchou while I mistakenly accepted a PrivatizeVPN download. Norton Antivirus seemed to have stopped MagniPic but I still got the searchou problem (it shows up in the address bar in Chrome and IE). Otherwise my computer seems to work but is a bit slower. I uninstalled PrivatizeVPN but that didn't help. How do I remove it? What does it do - is it harmful to my files, my internet security or to people I'm sharing files with (through email or through dropbox)? Thank you very much! (I am not pasting a log - should I start by downloading malawarebytes and post the log from that?) Vanya
  3. I downloaded a PrivatizeVPN file the other night, and since then I've been seeing "searchou" in the address bar of Google Chrome and Internet Explorer. I have no idea what this does or if it causes any harm to my computer, but I would like to have it removed. I've uninstalled the PrivatizeVPN, but "searchou" still remains. - Tan
