  1. Hello, I just had an issue with Malwarebytes and had to uninstall it and download it again, now it's all good but I've noticed that during the scans it analyzes always the same number of elements when before I uninstall it it analyzed always different number of elements (sometimes 8000 or sometimes 6000) but now it is always 6654, is that any normal?
  2. Hello, long term personal and business user of Malwarebytes here, love it, thanks for such a great app! I installed the 14 day trial onto my Web server (2016) and since then, every night, at the time it's scheduled to run the scan at 2:46am, the server logs a reboot.. well technically, it doesn't log the reboot, it logs the fact it's recovered from an improper shutdown 4 minutes later. It logs a Critial-level Kernel-Power error stating "The system has rebooted without cleanly shutting down first. This error could be caused if the system stopped responding, crashed, or lost power unexpectedly.". It has happened every night MalwareBytes has been installed, at the exact time the scheduled scan is set, so I don't think it's a coincidence. - I've not been remoted into it when this has happened, so I've not seen it restart myself, but all the logs confirm it (SQL databases coming back online etc). - It is not set to auto restart if it finds anything (in fact, that's greyed out and untickable) - it runs and completes a scan once the server has come back up, presumably because it missed the scheduled one, because it restarted - It's fine if it does a manual scan with every option selected. It just seems to be something to do with the schedule that's casuing it. After googling the problem, I found Malwarebytes staff on this forum suggesting people download the support tool and gather the logs. I have one of these zipfiles available if anyone would be kind enough to take a gander, but I'd rather not post them publicly. Can anyone suggest anything please? Many thanks, Dave Coleman
  3. Had a search for this in the forums to see if anyone else had had this problem, but couldn't see that anyone has reported it before. Basically I keep having to set my scheduled scan, because after a couple of days, usually 2-3, my settings keep getting wiped. I like to have a scheduled scan everyday at 7:00 PM, with the option for a missed scan to take place up to 23 hours afterward. However, after 2-3 days, it keeps resetting to a scan at 2:30 AM, without the option for a scan to take place if that is missed. As my PC is usually turned off/asleep at that time in the morning, and it isn't scanning if it's missed, i'm essentially losing the ability to run scheduled scan every couple of days. This is incredibly irritating, and have never experienced this with a paid for PC security product, so any help would be appreciated. I'm running Malwarebytes 3 Premium on a Windows 10 64-bit PC.
  4. My scheduled scan keeps resetting to somewhere around 2:00 am. I've tried editing the existing scan, adding a new scan and deleting all scans and creating one from scratch, no matter what a few days later I'm back to one scan around 2:00 AM. MY computer is turned off at that time so essentially I now have to run manual scans or I have no scans. This isn't very functional. PC is Win 10 64 bit.
  5. Hi, I recently updated my PC from Windows 7 to Windows 10 and noticed that I when I attempt to add a Scheduled Scan, that the MBAM Premium program completely crashes. Any suggestions or help would be appreciated. Thanks!
  6. I just upgraded from free to Premium, and it had me update my version, so I'm all up to date. I'm running Windows 8.1. I'm trying to set up a scheduled scan. When I click OK, I get the Windows error "Malwarebytes Anti-Malware has stopped working" and I have to close the program. I've tried several times with simple and custom scans. Any ideas?
  7. On four different Dell laptops, I amintermittently getting a 9f blue screen of death. In each case, the blue screen was reported when the computer was coming out of sleep. I sent the minidumps to Dell for analysis, and their final analysis (after some initial misdiagnosis about the WLAN card), was that malwarebytes was running a scan while the computer was sleeping and locking up the computer. Indeed, on my computer (I'm the sysadmin), the mbam scan was set to run at about 2 am. My computer was one of the computers having the problem. Are there any known issues of mbam causing blue screens of death while trying to run a scan while the computer is asleep? I'm attaching the blue screens of death from three of the machines to this entry. Thanks, Dave minidump1.zip minidump2.zip minidump3.zip
  8. On my Dashboard (version 2.02) the "Next Scheduled Scan" shows 5/31/2014 but that is three days in the past. So does "Next Scheduled Scan" really mean "Last Scheduled Scan?" Or is there some other explanation?
  9. MB 2.0.2.1012 - Everyday at 3pm the scan starts. I don't understand why. The desktop is always on. A scan may have been missed sometime back but it should be back on schedule by now. The schedule says 2am but after a scan it says the next scheduled scan is 3pm tomorrow.
  10. Hi, We've been using Enterprise Edition for a couple of months now with general success however there are 4 clients with intermittent scanning problems. According to the enterprise console, their database signature is being updated daily in line with the other clients, however their last scan times for these are over a week ago. I've tried uninstalling the client software, deleting from the console, reinstalling, and the same routine but with WMI enabled. It seems to keep to the schedule for a few days then stops scanning. Our schedule is a flash scan every 2 hours, a quick scan once a day and a full scan once a week. The computers are definitely online and I've just tried to manually force a quick scan on these 4 clients, the status on the console changes to 'scanning' however they don't appear to actually scan and they're now just stuck in the scanning state without anything happening (the date stamp doesn't refresh either). Our environment is Enterprise Console installed on x64 Windows SBS 2008R2, 20GB RAM, all clients running Windows 7 on new builds, G2130 3.2GHz processors with 6GB RAM. Any ideas?
  11. I am trying to run a batch file to have Malwarebytes perform a quick scan. I can make it run with this script: @echo off echo Starting Malwarebytes Quick Scan cd /d %~dp0 "C:\Program Files (x86)\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware\mbam.exe" /scan -quick -terminate but if I try to schedule it using this script: @echo off echo Starting Malwarebytes Quick Scan cd /d %~dp0 "C:\Program Files (x86)\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware\mbam.exe" /schedule /scan -quick -terminate /once /starting 05/18/2012 03:45:00 nothing happens. What part of the second script is wrong?
