Hello, I'm use Universal Extractor in the updated version (UniExtract2) from Bioruebe [ https://github.com/Bioruebe/UniExtract2 ] to extract some types of files. The scan report me for the .lnk on the desktop and the .exe in the program folder a "MachineLearning/Anomalous.100%". I don't know if this a false positive detection or not. Could you clarify it? And the other one is a "Malware.Generic.4233839557" report for the new Sandboxie V5.40.1 (SANDBOXIEINSTALL64-V5.40.1.EXE in "User/Downloads" and in "Windows/Installer" folders). In addition in a registry key (HKLM\SOFTWARE\MICROSOFT\WINDOWS\CURRENTVERSION\UNINSTALL\Sandboxie). Could you clarify it also? Thank you! Kind regards, Kippi (and a special sorry for my clumsy English ;-( ) PS: report as .txt file in the attachment MalwareBytesReport.txt
For *some reason* MBAE hasn't been able to inject into SBIE 4.x+ protected processes starting with the earliest of MBAE betas (that I tested). As I was the one to come up with a 'template' that could be applied within Sandboxie and allow them to work together by FORCING the DLL injection via a SBIE string to 'temporarily' overcome this issue I've become more worried as time passes. I'm concerned that my attempts to 'work around' the issue have instead enabled you to avoid addressing it all together. =( With virtually [let's say 90% min though it's likely higher] every other security software solution being able to detect and inject into the processes they are meant to protect, regardless of the presence of Sandboxie, and MBAE somehow NOT being able to reliably do so would you fault me or others for doubting the protection you can offer when the layers of protection are likely to be MUCH more difficult to create and maintain? Don't get me wrong, I haven't lost faith in you (yet) but it's hard to swallow that you can provide advanced Exploit protections if you can't even properly inject into a program protected by another piece of software that no one else seems to have issue working with... So yeah, drunken rant over (for now)....
Hello lovely people at MBytes Not really sure if I am infected with a bit of Malware but I'll start at the beginning and let the experts decide Lately my computer has been running a bit slow when I start my browser (internet explorer) in sandboxie - Most of my browsing is done there, better safe than sorry, - however it usually sorts itself out (perhaps I have too many programs running for my computer to handle?). However in the last 24 hours a webcomic I like (schlock mercenary) has been redirecting me to a page saying that my explorer video player might be outdated and to select "OK". I have not clicked on anything with this page and a quick google has confirmed my worries that it is probably a virus. I think the page has been hijacked, I have emailed the guy who runs the page, just so he knows and just to be safe I've backed up files and run my virus protection program (Avast) as well as Malwarebytes, and both programs have given me the all-clear. Thing is i'm still a bit worried, I had a real problem with a stubborn redirect virus in my computer last year - could the system slowness be something caught in my sandbox? Can anyone recommend anything to check that I don't have anything nasty lurking on my system? Many thanks!
