  1. A very old program for calibrating monitors that showed up as FP in this forum in 2008: https://forums.malwarebytes.com/topic/5968-roguesecureexpertcleaner/. Obtained yesterday from Samsung site (and passed VirusTotal inspection) at https://www.samsung.com/us/consumer/learningresources/monitor/naturalcolorexpert/pop_download.html. Please advise. Thanks! rogue.txt NCPro_2.0.0.0.zip
  2. For past few days any time I use Google Chrome on my Samsung S8 I see a box displaying "us.prioritized456be.top" and a recording speaking Latin-like gibberish for 10-15 seconds. A display then says "Cleaner Update for Samsung recommended" "Install suggested antivirus product for free to clean your Samsung immediately" with the buttons Instalar and Cancelar. Sure seems like a virus to me even though I only use apps from Google Playstore, don't use my Chrome browser often except for legitimate search or news sites. Also, have Malwarebytes Premium on this phone since Jan 5 2018 and its sta
  3. Hi there, Last night I decided to try out Malwarebytes for Android on my Samsung S8. Since the installation, all of the 3 messenger apps I installed on my Samsung S8 inside the Secured Folder (fka Knox) are no longer working. All of them produce a "connection error" when I start them up. I may have given Malwarebytes too many permissions I guess, but I need to know which permission I should take back without uninstalling the entire malware protection if you know what I mean. I'm not super technical, so it would be nice if someone can tell me where I should go in the phone settings and wh
  4. Every time I unlock my tablet, I'm shortly redirected to an ad (usually to dating sites or "I'm A Lucky Winner!" sites) even if I'm not on a search engine. When I hold the home button, then go back into the app I was on, the ad disappears. Virus detectors didn't spot anything. My battery drains faster than ever, but I'm not sure the ads are responsible. Nothing too harmful has happened, but I'd like to remove this problem just in case something more serious happens. Thanks!
  5. I have a Samsung S6. I run the scan and I get: 1. Your device has issues 2. I press "Fix now" 3. Security Audit detected some issues 4. I press "Go to security audit" 5. Insecure Settings - Development mode (Turned Off) 6. I press to turn on 7. I the get the message "The needed screen cannot be opened. Please open it manually" This is where I need help. What screen and where to open it manually? Thanks in advance.
  6. Hi guys, I got a new false positive message (I think). The Samsung software is for smartphone backups and restores etc. The problem: I can't restore the file even if I click Restore in the Quarantine section. Enclosed the screeshots. What can I do? BR, Kaim
  7. After Lenovo Superfish fiasco, another big issue came to light this week with Samsung PCs. It has been discovered by Patrick Barker, a Microsoft MVP that some Samsung PCs have Windows Update automatically disabled by a tool automatically downloaded by a pre-loaded software called SW Update which acts as the standard updater for Samsung PCs. 8. Hello. I have a samsung galaxy note 2, running on a android 4.3( jelly bean, I think). My model number is SGH-I317M if it helps. Anyways, my problem is that MBAM mobile found 3 norton apps i deleted(one was norton spot, the others i can't remember). Also, when I looked in settings, the processes of those apps where there. Thanks for looking at this post.
  9. Hoping someone with similar experience/more knwledge might be able help me. My desktop items disappeared when I started my laptop, my internet wouldn't load and I had to force shutdown - the computer would not shut down as it said task scheduler was still running. I have run Malware bytes virus detector (fast and full scan) but it turned up nothing. I also have followed instructions found in other forums about making sure the desktop items box is checked and reloading the explorer.exe file through Windows task manager. When I tried to do the latter my computer froze and I had to force shutdown
