  1. Hello there! I want to ask you: is it - a scam/rogue/fake antivirus?

Hi I think my computer has the fbi money pack virus I got the blue screen of death and my system shut down I notice something on there that says brfaxrx object name \\localhost\users\@GMT-2015.11.28-22.59.09\public\documents\brfaxrx
  3. I'm getting sick of removing fake programs from people's computers. Is there a Malwarebytes program that will keep these rogue installations off of a computer? Thanks.
  4. I will keep this as simple as possible. I contracted 'something' or a batch of numerous 'somethings' on my home laptop. I have run every possible scan I own (both in reg. mode & safe mode) from the PC, CD, & USB Flash drive. Programs found a couple items, but the PC is still infected. Here's a list of symptoms: Random Folders popping up on desktop & inside of my C:/ drive. EXTREMELY slow performance & random non-responsive programs When internet browser is closed there is a secondary page behind mine that closes (shadow page) Notifications that my ADMIN is being shared - Administrative Sharing Enabled Windows Update is shot - cannot install updates & will not allow me to search for new updates - corrupted These just name a few. Rather than get into all of the details of logs, scan results, etc. I will let you guys point me in the right direction. We will keep it simple, so what do you need from me first? Toshiba Satellite Windows 7 x64 Microsoft Security Essentials & Super Anti-Spyware installed. No modifications made Thanks in advance!
  5. I cannot run any executables, including MBAM. I've tried each version of chameleon with no luck. I can run IE from the Program Files folder (shortcut points to the .exe in Program Files x86 folder). I've tried all of the alternates methods to running MBAM, also with no luck. Also there's a windows update that runs each time I shutdown and the login screen is skipped when I boot up. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
  6. Hello, hope someone can help, as this virus seems like a real bitch to get rid of! It's not my computer, it's my mothers, so I have been trying to assist via "remote assist" (windows messenger). Malwarebytes scans keep picking up the same file but just crash when trying to remove it (both in safe mode and normal boot). Anyways, the virus is called something like "Rogue.Antivirus2010". I've attached the log files as requested in the sticky posts here. Hope someone can help!! Attach.txt DDS.txt
