I've tried so many different ways but I just can't find a way to get rid of svcvmx.exe. It is slowing down my pc, and I have a lot of files that I do not want to loose. I cannot open any Anti-malware software at all except for windows defender, of which does not see svcvmx as a dangerous file. I am running windows 10. I have tried chameleon and gotten nowhere, and I'm just flat out lost. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I have been trying to diagnose a laptop that will not allow any antivirus, anti malware to run. the anti rootkit did load but only scanned for a few seconds and said "done". so what is my next step?? rkill failed because of the resource in use message. Any suggestions? I can do a lot of things with computer but do NOT consider myself extremely knowledgeable.
So I'm infected with a rootkit and I've tried to remove myself, but I haven't been successful, it restricts access to malwarebytes and malwarebytes rootkit removal. I get the message " requested resource is in use" when I try to open an .exe such as malwarebytes. I've tried going into safe mode to delete the infected files but the virus still works in safe mode and prevents me from doing anything to try and remove it. Any help would be appreciated thanks!
First of all, Thank you this forum and staffs for providing solutions. I had "Resources in use" when starting antivirus or antispyware programs - similar to other users that I read here. Unable to start any antivirus or software at all. Windows defender can be run but did not detect anything. log files attached if staff can shed light on what kind of virus it is. CanNOT run Malware Anti-Rootkit Beta (or MBAR). It gave "Resource in use" error message I finally were able to run the MBAR that I could NOT run before. It may be because I "end task" some suspected processes and deleted some Registry entries related to the said processes. Took many tries and lots of methods recommended by staffs here. None worked until somehow were able to run the MBAR, as mention before, then "clean up," restart and running antivirus and antispyware scans now. Usually, I run both SuperAntispyware and MalwareBytes and it solved all the problems. Again, thank you MalwareBytes forum !
