  1. My father use Google chrome as his default browser on windows. Everytime when i type something like "gulu gulu" and clicked enter on google browser in his laptop, the url changed to feed.mytelevisononline.com for a moment then the url changed again to Yahoo search engine (Which shows the result of "gulu gulu"). But when i type an url like www.forums.malwarebytes.com , it just goes straight to the url. I think it's because of redirect virus? So i download Malwarebytes and scan the laptop. The Malwarebytes is able to remove so many PUP.Optional file, but somehow the browser is still redirecting
  2. Hello lovely people at MBytes Not really sure if I am infected with a bit of Malware but I'll start at the beginning and let the experts decide Lately my computer has been running a bit slow when I start my browser (internet explorer) in sandboxie - Most of my browsing is done there, better safe than sorry, - however it usually sorts itself out (perhaps I have too many programs running for my computer to handle?). However in the last 24 hours a webcomic I like (schlock mercenary) has been redirecting me to a page saying that my explorer video player might be outdated and to select "OK".
  3. I've been having problems with viruses on my computer lately, mostly redirect viruses, slowing my computer and trying to redirect me to their websites (I see the websites pop up and if i'm quick on the draw I close the page before it redirects) Even making my computer not start up (at which point I had it reimaged, but still got problems). First it was seth.avauz.tracking (excuse typos) which I think was got rid of by a reimaging of my computer. Now a week ago I had my browser (firefox) redirect to a page emblazoned with "protect her now" "league of angels" rpg with a line-up of scantily-clad
  4. Hey, I was wondering if you guys could help me remove this virus so I wont have to wait a couple weeks for someone else to do it. Being a CET major I would rather do this myself anyway, but I cant seem to get it to work. I have a virus that initially was just simply redirecting any page i tried in firefox to either a yahoo page to look up the url, or some other fake web search that I forgot the name of. For some reason internet explorer wasnt affected. I looked online for help for this and followed the steps (http://malwaretips.com/blogs/remove-browser-redirect-virus/) but it would still reapp
  5. I use MalwareBytes every week or so to scan my computer and have TrendMicro OfficeScan loaded. I have some type of virus (from searching it seems pretty common problem that is being addressed here) that redirects me when google searching through FireFox. TrendMicro typically stops any page from loading up when it redirects me but it is still frustrating and I'm sure could be causing other issues. Logs are attached. mbam-log-2012-12-09 (18-26-59).txt attach.txt dds.txt
  6. Hey, just today Google has been redirecting me to spam. Every time I type in something such as "pencil" no matter what I click on it will automatically redirect me to some spam advertisement. I uninstalled chrome (the only browser I use) and reinstalled, it didn't work. I ran a full scan twice (first with internet connection, second without) and Malwarebytes couldn't detect the problem. I just want to completely clean my laptop so I can start over fresh, and then I'll buy some security thing like Norton (I currently am not running anything to protect my computer) for now my top priority is to

  9. About a week ago my anti virus intercepted a virus and removed it but since then my googe searches have been redirecting. I've tried several spybot removal programs with no success. I've also tried to remove it manually based on information I've found online. I was hoping I could get some assistance on removing this most annoying malware.

  11. Hi, My Chrome browser keeps redirecting my searches. I've run CCcleaner and MalwareBytes and while MB found six issues it didn't fix the Chrome redirect issue. I've run dds.com and results are below. Can anyone give me a hand cleaning this virus? thanks Bob DDS . 12. Does Malwarebytes PRO protect from redirect? I have been getting re-directed when clicking on search results, and have looked up many ways to remove them. However, none of the long drawn out, complicated processes that require you to download and install may anpplications (such as tdsskiller, etc) have worked. The redirects have went from happili, so something else entirely now. Not only that, but I am not missing several of my system files that the removal tools have removed. So. Does it prevent the host files and such from being rewriten and preventing the redirect?
