  1. My nightly scan has found these 3 PUPs twice now, even after i quarantine and delete them. I ran the eset scan on my App Data folder and it does not report a problem. My only anti-virus is windows defender and MBAM premium is my only malware program. Hoping someone will help me decipher this report and help me completely remove this or else say if it is a false flag. Thanks! malwarebytes.com.txt
  2. Good Day, I need help removing a cloudnet virus that keeps coming back which I have been attempting to remove for months but it keeps returning. I have been using MalwareBytes which detects the 8 infected files every time it scans after a reboot and have tried using other software such as HitmanPro but the virus keeps coming back. I recently saw a thread where somebody used something called FRST fixlist to fix such malware and wanted to know how it could be done and if I can do it as a beginner? Scan Results.txt
  3. Hello, I am very new to the malwarebytesforums and it is admittedly a little bit late to be searching for help, but this infection has avoided everything in my power. About four days ago, I acquired a new steam game, but it kept crashing to desktop upon launch. Although the fix was simple (Update graphics drivers), I saw a "Mod" by someone online that'd fix the issue. After downloading and running the file, it gave me an error, so I closed and deleted it, and didn't give it much thought. Little did I know I started going down a slippery slope. About an hour later exactly, norton starts giving me this: There are attempted attacks ranging in intervals of 10 minutes to 2 hours (Not shown here for the reason explained below) Firstly, I apologize, my Windows install is in Spanish, it can't be helped, but I don't think it will affect the removal process. Secondly, the attack always originates from a (What i assume must be) a regional location file within the SysWOW64 folder. I HAVE tried to delete the file folder highlighted below on red (Last attempt today no, which solves the issue for about 4-8 hours. It always comes back. Scans using Zemana, Malwarebytes, Roguekiller, Norton PowerEraser, and the like, return empty. I have also tried running TDSSKiller, but the files it found are either redundant (Civilization V uninstall files and the like) Or Kernel and system drivers which I am too afraid to delete. The only thing I have not attempted is the FRST tool as I dont know how to create a fixlist, and I am afraid of what it might do to the system. I am attaching the FRST.txt and Addition.txt files from today here for review, however. Thank you for reading this far, I'll patiently await your response! Addition.txt FRST.txt
  4. My system has a few trojans which re appear on every reboot. Even when i remove them using malwarebyte, they come up again in the next scan. the name is Trojan.Egguard.PrxysvrRST. Please help me remove it. malwarebyte report.txt
  5. Hello. I need help. I used a Chinese video player program by Thunder for a few years. Recently I've uninstalled the program dan remove all Thunder's registry that I can find using regedit.exe. However, every day Malwarebytes would find the same malwares. Though I deleted them and the folder, they keep coming back. What should I do?

  7. I noticed symptoms of adware about a week ago and scanned my computer, expecting to find just adware. Apparently, in addition to the adware, I also had 2 trojan viruses. I scan regularly (about once a week) and never found anything until then. All downloads I had done since were from trustworthy sites (although the sites can be hacked so I'm unsure what I downloaded to cause this). I removed the trojans using Malwarebytes, restarted, and scanned again, and all the malware was gone. Then, the next day, I noticed the same problem, and surprise surprise, everything was back. The adware, the trojans, even the same "Potentially Unwanted Programs." Now, I hadn't downloaded ANYTHING between those two scans. I had, however, gone to a site I didn't wholly trust: crunchyroll. So, I repeated the process, but did not go to any untrusted sites. The next day, it was back again. So I didn't download anything, I didn't go to ANY websites besides YouTube and my school website, and yet everything returned once again. This sort of scenario has been repeating itself for the past week or so, the only deviation being that today there were 3 more PUP's than usual. I have refrained from doing things like entering credit card info or logging into my bank account, on the chance this virus monitors keystrokes. Please help. Thanks so much!
  8. On Friday the 27th, I obtained a NetGear router that would allow me regular use of the internet which I had not had access to for a year or so (For the past half year I'd had times where I could borrow use of the internet by switching the ethernet cable connected to the basic hub for a few hours on some weekdays). Yay! Except after set up was complete, Internet explorer started opening unbidden (I use chrome); The sounds of adverts began playing from no discernible source, even when all browsers were closed; When I tried searching on my browser of choice, I got strange redirects, including to a site called happili. I ran a full scan of MWB, and found a huge mess of malware. Since the initial removal and restart, the redirects and phantom ads continue, along with infrequent pop-up tabs. It seems that there are three files of malware that the removal software detects but consistently fails to remove, including certstore.dat, after 8 failed attempts. I even temporarily deactivated system restore, to see if that could fix the problem. I also tried to delete the detected files manually from my System32 folder. No such luck though, as I couldn't find them. I run Windows 7 (x32) I am currently running another full scan of which I will soon furnish this topic of the log so that I may get better assistance,
  9. Hello, I'm seeking expert assistance with removal of the following malware on a Windows 7 machine. Trojan.FakeAlert Trojan.FakeMS PUM.Hijack.StartMenu (two registry entries) I initially observed a rapid series of cascading dialogs stating "Unable to Load Attrib.exe" ." I immediately cut power to the machine. On normal reboot I see a similar series of cascading dialogs stating "Disk Errors Found," then the machine restarts on its own. In safe mode most of my program icons were not visible and many folders were empty. I managed to run a full scan with mbam which found the 4 items as listed above. I quarantined them and did a normal reboot but the cascading error dialogs were still present and another scan with mbam in safe mode reveals the same threats. So they're still hiding out somewhere in this PC. After reading the FAQs and Tips section of the forum on another machine, I was able to unhide everything in safe mode, giving me to access the forum via Firefox. I am reluctant to do another normal reboot until I have taken additional action, per one of your expert's recommendations. The DDS output files below were obtained after running mbam and removing the threats. Please let me know if a normal reboot and rerun of DDS is needed. Thank you in advance for your time.
