Good Afternoon, I received a mail from a hacker who is knowing an old password of a user of my home PC. He claims that he has installed a malware on my PC and he used my web browser (Firefox) as a RDP with a key logger providing access to the display and webcam. He gives me until 18:56 CET to pay $1 900 in bitcoins. Is it real or a false attempt to get some money?? PLEASE HEEELLLLP Here is his mail: From: Harri Salinas <gxuwilsonzpv@outlook.com> Sent: Thursday, April 9, 2020 18:58 To: me Subject: me : Old Password I know, Old Password, is your password. You don't know me and you're thinking why you received this e mail, right? Well, I actually placed a malware on the website and guess what, while you visited this web site, your web browser acted as a RDP (Remote Desktop) and a keylogger which provided me access to your display screen and webcam. Right after that, my software gathered all your contacts from your Messenger, Facebook account, and email account. What exactly did I do? I made a split-screen video. First part recorded the video you were viewing, and next part recorded your webcam. What should you do? Well, I believe, $1900 is a fair price for our little secret. You'll make the payment via Bitcoin to the below address (if you don't know this, search "how to buy bitcoin" in Google). BTC Address: bc1qc53lemeuaw5pm9sa6ypnjdfmsayul4lc6j4taw (It is cAsE sensitive, so copy and paste it)
