  1. I decided to download MALWAREBYTES and run it. It identifed lots of threats (all related to PUP.Optional.ASK PUP.Optional.Babylon and also PUP.Optional.Conduit) and quarantined them all. They were all located at the carpets \AppData\Local\Google\Chrome, etc... I ran another MALWAREBYTES scan but the malware keeps regenerating every time I open chrome! It keeps founding over and over again those 6 threats. After long time of using my pc if I run a scan it shall find around of 20 threats. 3. So I've recently decided to install Malwarebytes to scan my computer for threats after being an idiot and not having it installed in the first place years ago. It quarantined/removed a lot of malware that I wasn't aware I had, with the exception of one labelled "PUP.Optional.SearchManager.BITSRST" which is located in my Secure Preferences folder for Google Chrome. When I repeatedly scanned my computer to try to quarantine it, it keeps telling me I have 12 threats labelled "PUP.Optional.SearchManager.BITSRST", and keeps saying that all of them are removed except for the same one that Malwarebyt
  4. Hi. I have high ram usage at times, I mean 70-90% and I think it's connected to malware and Malwarebytes can't pick it up, but when my windows has been up and running for few hours, it shows 2 malware threats are detected, but even if I quarantine them and delete them, nothing works, they just keep coming back. I have also tried to use ADW cleaner multiple times without any luck too since it's all come back a few minutes after windows has loaded. One thing to note is that Chrome is only using 4-5 GB of ram which is okay, but the task manager shows over 70% even at sometimes 90%
  5. i have this problem and can not find it with regedit but scan found it and blocked it what is it and do i need to do more than quarantine it? AdwCleaner[S0].txt
  6. Alright, i was doing the usual, gaming on my PC while malwarebytes was scanning in the background, when i get a popup that says it found one virus. I looked, it said it found a file called "PUP.Optional.binkiland". I immediately quarantine, delete, and do a bit of research. I found that it was adware.. which was surprising to me as i had not been getting any popups or changes in browser behavior. I followed some guides on removal, using adwcleaner, it found two more files, called "PUP.Optional.Legacy". I did some research on that, found only a guide to delete it. It told me to scan with adwcle
  7. I've gone through various threads and sequences of using Malwarebytes, adwcleaner and hitman pro along with chrome cleanup and this PUP still reappears. I've booted into safe mode and used adwcleaner and then reboot and clean, still nothing permanently removes this thing... suggestions?? 9. Addition.txt FRST.txt mbamlog-568.txt Have removed registry entries and quarantined several times. It scans great for 3 days and then they are back. User stated "little black window" flashes on the screen from time to time. I've not witnessed the behavior myself. We have 2 machines with identical issues. Help is sincerely appreciated.
  10. MalwareBytes scan result Been getting these results everyday for a while now. They will always come back. I will sometimes notice a weird blue command prompt appearing for a quick moment before it disappears again. I think it's related to this. I've tried: -Running HitmanPro, Zemana, JRT and adwcleaner along with MalwareBytes. -Resetting Firefox and uninstalling it. -Checked my DNS settings. -Made sure I got the latest MalwareBytes version. I've scanned with Farbar recovery scan tool, files attached below. Thanks. FRST.txt Addition.txt

  12. Hi, We have three computers at my workplace that has "distromatic" detected by Malwarebytes Anti-Malware. The threat name is "PUP.Optional.Distromatic". I used Google to search for "Distromatic" and saw that it was some sort of browser extension. Does anyone have any more information about this? I attached a screenshot of the detection from the Malwarebytes Management Console. Thanks!

  15. This is my first post and I hope I am not breaking any rules or posting to an incorrect area in the forum... I downloaded your program, Malwarebyte anti-malware program. I ran the tool 2 times, quarantined the same 3 programs 2 times, then went back and deleted them all. Then went back into the program after running the tool a 3rd time, there they were again. I was reading another users post about how they had the same issue, and the administrator told them to run the 'farbar recovery tool' So I did that. They indicated that they needed to send 2 notepad files after it was done scanning: the F

  19. I am posting this question at the request of my sister who is a subscriber to Malwarebytes Anti-Malware Pro. Her laptop is being plagued by a PUP.Optional.se... that comes up every time she runs a full scan with Malwarebytes Anti-Malware. Even after removing the selected infection and rebooting her laptop if Malwarebytes Anti-Malware is run again immediately after the reboot the same infection appears: C:\Program Files\pcreq\service.exe The mbam log reads: Malwarebytes Anti-Malware (PRO) www.malwarebytes.org Database version: v2014.05.27.06 Windows Vista Service Pack 2
  20. I ran Malwarebytes on a hunch today after downloading utorrent for the first time. I realize the folly of my actions now as I am stuck with PUP bugs that despite repeated use of AdwCleaner and Malwarebytes will not go away despite the logs saying that the objects have been "quarantined and deleted successfully". I have uninstalled utorrent as per the requirements of these forums and have sworn off the idea of pirating content ever. I've learnt my lesson. To be fair though, cable subscriptions are ridiculously expensive in Australia and I just wanted to watch Game of Thrones. But, alas. I'll
  21. Hi, My malwarbytes has blocked multiple outgoing communications and I was wondering if this is bad. I have run a couple full scans previous to this problem where it has found PUP.Optional things that I have had the program remove and recent scans haven't shown up with any of these anymore, and now the only problem its seems I have is these outgoing communications. I am wondering what I should, and wondering if my computer is at risk. Please help. Thank you
  22. Hello, Malwarebytes found a bunch of different PUP.Optional and a Malware.Trace infection on my computer. I have not yet tried to delete them, as Malwarebytes by default only checks the box next to the Malware.Trace infection. 23. Hello, the other day I was helping a friend clean up their computer that they complained was slow, so i downloaded Malwarebytes free and gave it a scan. Multiple instances of Registry Keys and File appeared infected, named PUP.Optional.inbox, PUP.Optional.inboxtoolbar.A, and PUP.Optional.FunWebProducts.A. I've got the dds and attach files all ready to go, and was hoping someone could tell me if malwarebytes took care of everything. Thanks. Upon trying to post the dds and attach text files contents directly here, I was informed my post was too long. They are now attached. attach.txt dds.txt
