  11. Hello first time posting to the forum, I've ran Malwarebytes AdwCleaner on my laptop and had a few detections pop up. I'm wondering if these are malicious threats or false positives. 13. Alright, i was doing the usual, gaming on my PC while malwarebytes was scanning in the background, when i get a popup that says it found one virus. I looked, it said it found a file called "PUP.Optional.binkiland". I immediately quarantine, delete, and do a bit of research. I found that it was adware.. which was surprising to me as i had not been getting any popups or changes in browser behavior. I followed some guides on removal, using adwcleaner, it found two more files, called "PUP.Optional.Legacy". I did some research on that, found only a guide to delete it. It told me to scan with adwcle
  14. Hi, I ran Adwcleaner this morning and it showed up two sets of issues. I set ADW to clean, it rebooted and I re-ran the scan and the Pup Optional Legacy entries are still coming up. Can you please advise, I have attached the scan results. I ran MBAM and it came back clear. I have an issue with AVG quarantining Win32: malware gen every time i start Outlook 2010. I haven't run outlook since last week and multiple MBAM scans come back clear. Could the Win32 malware and the Pup Optional Legacy be linked? AdwCleaner[S0].txt AdwCleaner[S1].txt AdwCleaner[C0].txt
  15. For about the past week, when I run AdwCleaner it finds 4 or 6 elements of Pup.Optional.Legacy. I have NOT noticed any problems with my computer, so I'm hoping that this is just a false positive, but when I googled it one site said it "is a particularly well made Trojan horse keylogger virus". That has me worried. When I clean the files using AdwCleaner and reboot it says it deleted the files. When I run Adwcleaner again after the reboot the files do not appear, but after a few hours if I run the scan again the files for Pup.Optional.Legacy reappear. Here is the text file log of the last scan
  16. Hello. I have been going around with this for days, with no luck: Everytime I run AdwCleaner, it finds PUP.optional.legacy but does not remove it. After a positive scan, I initiate the cleaning process then I reboot as instructed. After reboot, the log says "no malicious files found" and nothing was cleaned. The quarantine file is always empty...I've never seen anything in it. I have run the AdwCleaner scan many, many times the last few days--always with the same results. I have also uninstalled and reinstalled it several times. I have also run many malware bytes scans (it currently fin
  17. Hello, I keep getting popups from Malwarebytes saying that "Outbound Connection, website, "install.video-browse .com" is blocked. But when I do a full computer scan, it says that nothing is wrong. What caused it was downloading a link from Mediafire, but I scanned it with Malwarebytes and AdwCleaner and it said it cleared 4 PUPs, (one of which was PUP.Optional.Legacy(which I hear keeps coming back)), however my computer isn't getting any better, and I'm beginning to get concerned. Please help whenever you can. Thank you.
