  1. I posted a topic (https://forums.malwarebytes.com/topic/249646-remove-pupoptionalspigota/) on July 21st and waited for any reply, but only saw one today from kevinf80 telling me the post was closed. I never saw a notice that he had answered me on that same Sunday. Anyway today I followed all his instructions, but he wanted me to reply with attached log files. I have the log files attached to this post. How do I get them to kevinf80? malwarebytesScan.txt adwcleaner_7.4.txt FRST.txt Addition.txt
  2. Okay so my microphone has been automatically muting itself through the windows sound properties. I was told it was malware and to end task named svchost.exe that's under my current user profile. So I did that and booted up Malware to clean up the system it didn't find anything until it went to heuristic analysis. It finds the pup in the image below and when I press removal selected it seems to freeze then crash. If I open it back up the following programs are in the history and I press delete selected and restart my computer (without being prompt to do so) and when my computer comes back I scan again and it finds the same files again and it all happens again. I've tried using Chameleon mode after the scan (in which it only found one instead of 4) After I pressed remove selected it says Mbam cannot communicate with mbam ui or something like that and it just keeps retrying. I also tried using rkill.exe and I've also posted the document it made. If anyone can help me it would be helpful. Rkill.txt
  3. I downloaded and ran Malwarebytes as suggested on malwaretips.com to remove some PUP issues a friend of mine was having with SearchProtection.exe on their laptop. After running the program and restarting however, I was unable to get any of the browsers to open properly. I tried to make adjustments to the firewall settings as Windows suggested. I also tried to uninstall one of the browsers and reinstall via an exe from my jump drive, but I got an error that the program was unable to connect to the internet. I checked the network settings and everything appeared to be OK. I tried to Google an answer to the issue. I found several threads with Malwarebytes users experiencing the same issue, but with no clear cut solution. Given the likelihood of this problem, I would have thought there to be some type of a warning with the download regarding the potential dangers of using the program. I know that this company conceeds that the program is not the issue, and points to the severity of the Malware as the source of the problem. However, I didn't read anything regarding SearchProtection.exe to indicate that it was a severe program crippling issue. Nor have I ever encountered anything like this using a novice Malware removal tool previously. Frustrated by all this, I then tried to restore the system back prior to the installation of Malwarebytes, however, I am now getting bombared with relenting pop ups from all of the disabled PUP files stating that the files are missing. The browsers are also still not functioning. So, any insight to this would be greatly appreciated.
  4. I ran a full scan today and saw I had few malicious things on my PC. I did my own research and found i could delete everything else no problems. However, I am hesitant to delete this particular one because it involves my windows key. Any help and advice would be great.
