  1. so … essentially, upgrading to mb3 (free) version means we no longer can use mbae and mbarw … do i understand this correctly? ref: forums.malwarebytes.com/topic/191650-malwarebytes-3-frequently-asked-questions/?do=findComment&comment=1077436
  2. Could anyone please confirm that my twenty or so MBAM for Business licenses (which still show 'Corporate' on the main screen and the current version as will also license me to install MBARW on those twenty Win7 machines legitimately. MBARW installs no problem and shows CU Package 1.1.46, but it also seems happy to install on just about anything without complaint. The subscription I've had for years is for MBAM for Business (and does not include 'MBAE for Business' nor the new 'MB Endpoint Security'. Would appreciate clarification (or possibly education..) Many thanks.

  5. Hi, can someone update the main stickied thread for Introducing Malwarebytes Anti-Ransomware Beta as the version that is showing as available to download (beta6 - build is the one I have just installed. It then immediately informed me that it was out of date. Could a mod post the latest one there as trying to find the latest version isn't that easy. (well, it isn't hard but new visitors will head for the stickied thread and download the outdated version showing there)
  6. Hello, first of all I want to say thanks for making this great software available for free. Now I want to give you some feedback. We have installed the MBARW on the Windows 7 Clients in a corporate network (for testing purposes). We had to uninstall it, because it caused some troubles. Now we want to share this feedback, so you guys can eventually improve this software. The problem was: after installing the MBARW software and rebooting the client, the roaming profiles of the users (which are hosted on the company's Windows Small Business Server 2011) aren't loading anymore. They are loading as temporary profiles instead. This was verified, as this behaviour occurred on many clients (but not on all of them --> odd behaviour). After uninstalling MBARW they started to load correctly again. If you need any more information on this "bug" or if you have some informations for me on how to avoid the occurrence of this problem, please contact me. Greetings from Germany, Philipp A.

  8. FPs on DVDStyler and Gpg4win: http://www.dvdstyler.org/en/& https://www.gpg4win.org/ Nothing appeared to be added to the quarantine list in the GUI, but notifications came up saying that ransomware was detected in the tray area. Since nothing was quarantined, I have no EXE for Gpg4win since that one happened a while ago and I don't remember what EXE it was, but I will attach the DVDStyler EXE that was flagged in the notification, since that happened today. The DVDStyler FP happened while building a DVD to be burned. I don't remember what I was doing when the Gpg4win FP occurred. Both installer packages were detected by 0 AVs on Virustotal before installing them, and they were downloaded from the sites listed above. Attached are the requested .zips from the FP reporting thread. Malwarebytes Anti-Ransomware.zip MBAMService.zip DVDStyler.zip
  9. I've received a "Ransomware Detected" notification after installation of my nVidia graphics driver, and then Intel graphics driver. MBARW seems to not like the streaming service I guess for the nVidia, not sure what of the Intel driver triggered it. The install of the driver and GeForce Experience software completed fine, I got the notification after the installs. Here's the link to the exact file I downloaded from nVidia's website for my GeForce GT 525M on my laptop. http://us.download.nvidia.com/Windows/361.43/361.43-notebook-win8-win7-64bit-international-whql.exe Here's the Intel Graphics 3000 driver I downloaded from Intel's website (I know it's a "previously released" version, but the latest release is having a bug with my system that I'm troubleshooting). https://downloadmirror.intel.com/24696/a08/win64_152823.exe
  10. It seems that when using multiple mini-programs in Glary Utilities 5, MBARW is flagging them as ransomware and/or rootkits. The programs so far are DiskCleaner.exe & fileencrypt.exe. These program are designed for cleaning your disk (DiskCleaner.exe) & Encrypting confidential information. (fileencrypt.exe). These files are not malicious in any way, shape or form. Here are are the virustotal reports: DiskCleaner.exe - https://www.virustotal.com/en/file/7c3adba19684b870aeb87afe446c351ff395d27a9c5a9628ed29d4ef917111e4/analysis/1454143679/ fileencrypt.exe - https://www.virustotal.com/en/file/4adabcd2850f36e26e341f7c413bb65d02a1fcb0527feda643e2d243f5c0b618/analysis/1454143676/.
  11. Hi, Will Malwarebytes Anti-Ransomware be added to the Endpoint Security/business suite? Will a separate purchase be required? Thanks! Sol
  12. I just installed MBARW yesterday. Today I was working on a 40+ page Word document and all of a sudden MS Word and my document disappeared. Then a MBARW popup came up and said that WinWord.exe was quarantined and I needed to reboot to complete the action. I couldn't restore WinWord because MBARW said that an item can't be restored that has been marked for deletion on reboot. MBARW is a nice idea, but I think it needs some work before it goes public.
