I currently have the original Malwarebytes Anti-Malware tool for Mac installed on my macbook and want ti upgrade to the new Malwarebytes 3 for mac. The only issue is how should i approach the installation. When i open the MBAM app and upgrade through there, should i wait for Malwarebytes 3 to fully install before uninstalling the older MBAM app? Or can i still use both MBAM and the new Malwarebytes 3 with no interference, or is that a bit over the top? Is MBAM still receiving the same signature updates as Malwarebytes 3 or is it best to upgrade?

Salutations, I recently discovered of an attempted intrusion by a variant of the Kotver Trojan. You can find all of the relevant details here (this includes logs from MBAM, HitmanPRO, FSS, FRST, and Kotver itself). According to the technician assisting me, he believes it originated from an exploit ad on a web page or something similar.[1] This reinforces my initial suspicions that WinRAR is the culprit. For some time now, the application has been generating advertisements to convince you to buy a license of their product once the evaluation period has ended (AKA nagware). Malwarebytes' ha

Hello, I'm trying to update Malwarebytes Anti-Malware definitions of an offline PC by coping them from my main PC. I did RTFM but it is still very unclear to me if said procedure (database.conf + rules.ref ) is still valid today or not. p.s.: yes, I know about the official-provided offline definitions package, but it's 1) big 2) slightly outdated so I'd prefer to pick defs from my own PC. Thanks!

So, a week or so ago I asked for help because I thought MBAM was malfunctioning, it got solved but I also discovered that the threath scan isn't a full scan, so I did a custom scan to search for viruses in all my hard drive. It discovered five PUPs (and the guy who was helping me noticed another one called FXWebPlayer, but that scan didn't detect it for some reason, so it stills on my PC). I'll leave here the FRST logs and the MBAM one that detected the PUPs, all five of them are quarantined. Also, sorry if my English is bad. If anything more is needed to help me, tell me and I'll reply with t

Hi, I recently updated my 'Malwarebytes Anti-Malware' program and since then I've been getting a log report come up about 5/10mins after starting my computer telling me it stopped a threat called cdn.zeusclicks.com. When scanning my computer with either 'Malwarebytes Anti-Malware' or 'AVG' it doesn't come up with anything. Also I've noticed that my AVG firewall is stopped when first starting my computer up, which I immediately fix. I've researched what it is and it seems as though it attacks browsers to steal banking information. I've called my bank to stop any transactions happening until

Hello, On my PC, a full Malwarebytes Anti-Malware scan used to take 1 hour and 15 minutes, but it now takes 2 hours and 15 minutes. I'm wondering if it's because I recently installed Adblock Plus in both Firefox and Internet Explorer. According to two websites, Adblock Plus employs 37,000 filters, so my guess is that having it in both Firefox and Internet Explorer makes it 74,000 filters. Would that be the culprit for adding an hour to my full Malwarebytes Anti-Malware scans? I have recently added the following programs to my PC: January 7, 2014: • Malwarebytes Anti-Rootkit • Malwarebyte

https://forums.malwarebytes.org/index.php?showtopic=125369 I was browsing the forums just about now and I saw the little shield thing on the google chrome URL Bar, and I'm wondering, what does it do/mean? I'm interested, because its on the MBAM Forums and I'm slightly paranoid about PC issues.

Hello friends, I open this thread because I have the Malwarebytes Anti-Malware program trial version for "15 days" (I think). Well, on the main screen of scan, I get down an option called "Buy It Now", which sends me to the sales page of this Anti-Malware program, which is: http://www.malwarebytes.org / lp / Inproduct /. Now, hit the "upgrade now", I get the purchase screen shows me in my case in Mexican currency, which would be $ 335.03 MXN = 30 USD (approximately). Now ... I see the following methods of payment: VISA, MASTERCARD, AMEX, JCB, and finally transfer Paypal. Actually my doubt is,
