  1. So with the suggestion of my friend, I installed Malwarebytes and it found PUPs and I think I caught i glimpse of one rootkit. I uninstalled Malwarebytes because it was lagging down my pc and installed MBAR to check if the rootkit was stil there. After I scanned with MBAR, it said that there was no malware detected and I guess Malwarebytes did it's job; I tried reinstalling Malwarebytes but it keeps giving me "An error occured while downloading. Please check your internet connection to the internet and try again. For trouble shooting.." So my question is, is my pc good now? I can't r
  2. A friend recommended me a RAR file to download through MediaFire for an application that he himself had downloaded and reported no issues with. Since downloading this file and extracting the program through Bandizip, there's been two instances that have scared the hell out of me. Out of seemingly nowhere when running chrome, my screen started to flicker, tabs started moving by themselves slightly off-screen, my mouse appeared to flicker back and forth, but i still had some control, and a new tab opened on chrome and characters started typing themselves into the top search bar by themselves.
  3. I keep getting this AdobeIPCBroker.exe - System error pop up. I cannot get rid of it and I can only move it to the side. it says "The code execution cannot proceed because CRCilent.dll was not found. Reinstalling the program may fix this problem." I press ok or the x button and it does not go away it only reappears. I saw a similar post to this https://forums.malwarebytes.com/topic/257811-adobeipcbrokerexe-system-error-issue/ . Though I do not know if the same solution to that computer is gonna work for mine. Please help.
  4. Hi, There are some suspicious things with weird names in my task manager like BIT, SNARE, KITTY, but the main problem is there is always this "g2499.tmp.exe" which consumes a lot of disk power.
  5. How should I deal with such file ? If I should delete it, please explain how in detail. Thanks for your help
  6. Hello there, So last Thursday, I got a virus on my computer and swiftly brought it to Geek Squad to help clean up and fix, since I have protection with them. When I got it back the problems seemed resolved, but now a new one has appeared, that was not an issue before. Every now and then Microsoft Powershell will randomly appear on my task bar, causing me to have any full screen things minimized, but I won't be able to open Powershell in a larger window to see what it is doing. However if I close it through right clicking close on my taskbar, it goes away. But when I see things like powers
  7. So recently I downloaded a program called Hitfilm pro 2017 and I cant open it because of the memory and some time a program will freeze my computer alot I need some help!
  8. I have no idea why, but it seems like my windows 10 keeps crashing over and over. Sometimes I can for example play a game in fullscreen and the game will continue to work but windows crashes in the background. So when I close the game all I can do is move my mouse around and get "click animations" on some buttons. But nothing else. Nothing happens. I tried to remove the maleware with malewerebytes but nothing is helping this it seems. The same thing can happen when browsing the internet, streaming videos or whatever. In chrome it looks like I dropped my internet connection (like the sites are
  9. Just today I was with my brother when he turned on his computer to find that his profile was gone and replaced with a windows profile for "Johnny". We assumed that this is the person that last owned the computer, but we have had no luck trying to contact that person again. Since I felt impatient, I have tried going around the pass word by pressing the F8 key to get to safe mode with command prompts but found that I was lead back to the Window's profile list showing just Johnny. I have tried every safe mode option but the computer refuses to boot in safe mode. Additionally, I have tried the "re
  10. Hello forum participants: I am seeing a blank web page popup while using the latest AOL browser on Windows 7. The URL is listed on the pop up page top as http://securepaths.com/pixel.cgi I am using MalwareBytes Premium running alongside Kaspersky Pure 3.0 Thank you for providing any insight as to what this rascal is and how to remove it, if needed. The best defence I have against virus activity is to NOT kiss a Canary. That protects me from a Canaryial disease called Chirpies that is unTweetable! L.P.
  11. I was trying to open Microsoft Access 2000. My machine got crazy doing something and then gave me a memory error. I saw SSP.exe running in task manager. A google search tells me it is a SpyStopper Pro process. I do not have this software installed. I ran a complete search of my computer and this exe does not exist. The other posts on Google said that this could be malware. MalwareBytes Pro is running and shows nothing. Everything seems normal after the memory incident. Please advise.
