  1. Hello Malwarebytes Team, I ordered a small application from a freelancer. When scanning, it produces MachineLearning/Anomalous.94%. Is this really a hidden malware application? Thanks Launcher.zip
  2. I have developed 1 program. Checked with virustotal no error. 3. Hello Malwarebytes Team, I just downloaded a game off steam called Atex Brawl. Every time I try and run the game, Malewarebytes detects and quarantines a file, calling it MachineLearning/Anomalous.97% I've tried restoring the files myself and restarting my computer, but malwarebytes still quarantines the file. Thanks Atex Brawl Machine Learning.txt MBAMSERVICE.LOG
  4. Hi, I've been using MalwareBytes Free on my computer for a number of years, never had a problem and only use it for the bare basics - only 'safe' websites (Wikipedia, Facebook) and don't use it a great deal anyway. Did a scan this morning and it detected "MachineLearning/100%anomalous detection" - interestingly I had run a scan earlier without the internet connected, but after I connected the internet and ran the scan again it found it. I've since quarantined and deleted the file, ran another scan and all seems well - I'd just like to know what it was and whether it was a real problem or a false positive. I did a large Windows update (1803) last night and wonder if that's related? I have looked over this forum and seen that this detection has come up a number of times for people developing their own software, however I am not a software developer and had nothing on my computer that an average user wouldn't have. I understand that MalwareBytes is using new detection systems to stop malware, and so hopefully this is a teething problem rather than a real concern. I'm pretty savvy about computer safety, but still I'd rather be certain that everything is OK. I'm attaching the exported report here. There are no other visible signs of infection (slowing down, redirects etc). Thank you! MB Report.txt
  5. I am making a video game launcher using Visual Studio. My compiled EXE named "CRS_Updater.exe" is stating it has detected a malware / machinelearning pattern. Would like to figure this out since many others will be using this file. crs_updater_LOGFILE.txt CRS_Updater.zip
  6. Hello MB! I am having the same problems as others have had when developing C# programs in Visual Studio. I cannot read the users MAC address without getting a detection from MalwareBytes so I completely removed the need for this check. I was using the MAC address as a launch parameter for a program but for now I won't use it. My problem now is that I use an external library for the overall look of my program and in order to keep my .EXE clean I package it into a single file using ILMerge. Is there a certain way you recommend packaging applications since this is seen as anomylous? I'd really appreciate it. Thank you! Sample jslauncher.zip (Merged files)
  7. Hello Everyone. I scan with MBAM free everyday, just to check if everything is allright. Today, I scanned my computer and it found something. Also, it found a user (defaultuser1) that was created aprox. 2 hours ago, which is strange. I will post the attachments needed, and I will also scan my files for anything suspicious. Just some information that may be useful: - The time of when the user was created was about the time when I logged into my computer, but clicked in the wrong button "I don't remember my PIN" when I was in the lock screen. - Strangely, after restoring the file to scan with Virus Total, MBAM now doesn't find it malicious anymore. I wonder why? - Apparently, it only detects if the system is connected to the internet - Virus Total Link: https://www.virustotal.com/#/file/a6c4dcfa62059f2a2058ac6676cb0dd423ec087d03f0ec39ff67819e3d5cc44f/detection - I scanned my computer with MBAM full scan, Windows Defender full scan and ESET Online Scanner. No malware was detected. PC information: - CPU: Intel Atom Z3775 - 1.46GHz - RAM: 2GB - OS: WIndows 10 Home 1709 (16299.402) 32 bits - Security software: MBAM, Windows Defender and ESET Online Scanner (for on-demand scanning) MBAM.txt Addition.txt FRST.txt
  8. Hi, Since last week, our professionnal software is flagged as malware by Malwarebytes. Our software is a management software for optometric clinics, developped since the 90' and constantly updated. It manages patient reservations, inventory, eye exams, patient recall, and billing. We're starting to receive calls, and in some cases, it is shutting down clinics as the executable is being quarantined costing us remote support. This is affecting our company's image, and could cause damages to our members, and clients. It is installed on over three thousands computers in Canada, and is now flagged as malware by your anti-malware solution. I checked our executable on virustotal.com, and it's not detected as malware in anyway by anyone else. With some researches, I found that we are not the only ones affected by your new version, and that a new "machine learning" feature was released on your end. Can you teach this AI to whitelist our software please? I have also attached revelant information. I expect a prompt resolution of this issue. Best regards, Max Pelletier System Administrator Optometric Services Inc.
  9. I have the same file information however I am using the cloud point software. I added snips from the scan that was completed.

  11. I ran a scan with Malwarebytes and noticed it detected one file that it classified as MachineLearning/Anomalous.100%. It was able to quarantine it, but I was just curious what this type of detection means, since I have never seen it or heard of it before. Any insight would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
