  1. Alright, I have many questions, but the main one is in the title: Is it safe to send my MacBook Pro for repair to Apple while having files on quarantine by Malwarebytes? Can I also make a backup just in case while having those files quarantined? My other two questions are whether I should delete the files that are deemed as malware. I would share the names, but I spilled water on my MacBook and I'm waiting around 48 hours so it dries and I can use it again. Lastly, Malwarebytes detected 28 suspicious files, 27 of them were quarantined, but one of them was not. Am I safe? What should I do? Thanks VERY VERY much in advance, I'm currently very nervous about all of this, I've had some sleepless nights. If an update or specifications are needed, please notify me. Thanks again.
  2. I just recently tried to open Malwarebyts on my MacBook Pro (Late 2013) 15" Retina Display, and to no avail did not open. I got a huge message on my screen saying it quit unexpectedly and the said it was sending analytics to Apple. At the bottom of message it had a button that said "ok" and "reopen". Is there an update for Malwarebyts or is it not yet optimized for OS Catalina? Could someone please help me with the issue? Thank you to any and all for any helpful info and any help, MUCH APPRECIATED. PLEASE SEE ATTACHED IMAGE BELOW
  3. I downloaded and installed Malewarebytes on my MacBook Pro for a free trial. Icon is on Top Bar. Nothing seems to happen when I click on it. The Scanning box does not appear. What should I do? John
  4. Hi, I have downloaded OSX Sierra (10.12.6) yesterday from Hackintosh website, since I couldn't download it from the App Store. The file was 5.03GB. The installation went smoothly, installer and everything looked legit. When it finished I scanned the system with Malwarebytes. When scanning I noticed it's going through some weird items, and I don't know if they are on my computer or is Malwarebytes just looking for them on the system? It only goes through those files, nothing else (like documents etc.). List of items: Trojan.SteamStealer.CSGO Adware.OperatorMac Adware.Crossrider Adware.Mindspark Adware. The Player Adware.Kilim Adware.IronCore Adware.SnapDo Adware.Linkury Adware.MixPlugin Adware.Aqualious Adware.OneSearch Adware.VNPapps Adware.ExtensionsSystems Adware.Vidx/MacVX Adware.MySearch Adware.PremierOpinion Adware.Conduit Adware.FairyTale PUP.logKext Keylogger PUP.Jawego PUP.Hotger PUP.PCVARK PUP.NikoffSecurity PUP.WebWatcher PUP.MacRemover PUP.JDI PUP.Aobo Keylogger PUP.Award Keylogger PUP.Optional.Crossrider There were few other items, but it passed too fast for me to take the names. Also, I've performed full system scan using Avast, and BitDefender, but nothing came up. Should I wipe off everything of the disk, and get clean iOS, or is the one I'm using safe? Thanks
  5. Hello! I do hope that I'm posting in the right forum. So I have a bit of a problem that has been persisting for the past few months. Whenever I am using an internet browser (so far it has occured when using Firefox, Chrome and Internet Explorer) the browser window will spontaneously disappear. If I'm clicking on a link or something of the sort when it disappears, the program window that is open beneath it will respond. (I.e. If Winamp is open then it will act as though I switched to Winamp.) It didn't do this a few years ago on this same computer with the same operating system. I run Windows Vista on a MacBook Pro through Bootcamp (or something of the sort, I'm not entirely sure how). The problem occurs without warning no matter what combination of programs are open. It happens while on the net or looking through files on my computer. Let me know if there is any other information you guys need. Thanks in advance!
