Someone just told me a file I just downloaded was a cookie logger, I couldn't find anything that says how these work. I never did run the program, but I still want to know if it could have infected my computer! Please help, even if cookie loggers are fine, answer the question anyway. They showed me pictures of things the logger did, so I believe that they can actually do something.
I use MBAM Premium on all my computer and Android phone. I have this suggestion that I think would be well received by anyone interested in online security... expand MBAM to include best of class anti-keylogging, anti-screenshot, anti-clipboard, anti-mic, anti-cam... make it a complete full featured anti-spy tool. I'm looking into Zemana Antilogger, HitManPro.Alert, SpyShelter, GuardedID for those very features. Those are foreign based companies, I'd prefer buying from a trusted US based company though. I downloaded a program today and ran it. I was in a hurry so I didn't check the original file name and all of that to see if it is legit. When I opened the program nothing worked so I quickly checked it to see if it was legit and it wasn't. Few moments later the file melted and I couldn't find it anywhere which makes me believe it is a RAT*. I scanned my computer with avast and it deleted all the viruses and then tried opening malwarebytes and it didn't work. I opened up MBAM chameleon and it told me that it couldn't update or open malwarebytes correctly. I used this as a reference to further
