  1. I somewhat recently Installed the program to help me be-rid of something that was causing someone to be able to attempt to log into my steam account. Very shortly after though, I started receiving some odd performance problems. These included: *1. Sudden freezing on some games. *2. Lag where my last inputs are retained, but continued till it stops, and my mouse sensitivity drops to 5. 3. Recently, heavy input lag. 4. Connection issues. *starts to happen as I use my PC and gets worse as the day runs on I have since uninstalled, re-installed, then uninstalled again with no such luck. I have absolutely no clue as to why this is happening, but I have a feeling it had all started happing because of Malwarebytes. I hope I can get some help on fixing the issue, as this lag has been harassing me to no end.
  2. I have a Samsung Galaxy S7 that I bought from Verizon a while back. Right now I'm on Android version 8.0.0 (not rooted). For a while now I've been dealing with my phone freezing and slowing down to a crawl in most apps. It got to the point where Google Chrome was even struggling to run on my phone. I decided to start deleting apps to see what was causing it, and immediately after deleting Malwarebytes my phone's performance increased by a lot. I use Malwarebytes on most devices that it's available on, but for whatever reason it was killing my S7's performance. Is there any way to make Malwarebytes a "lighter" app performance wise?
  3. Hi, I had been having awful trouble for a while with webpages not loading "resolving host" issues, in multiple browsers. I thought it was chrome so I changed to the new Edge chromium After searching for answers I came across a number of people having the same problem and the cause seemed to be Malware bytes and mainly real-time protection. I turned real time protection off, and have now run for two weeks with a 99% improvement, I wondered if you could check for me. Last week I collected the log reports to upload here (attached) I think I also had trouble when running the free version though, Im not sure I wondered if you could confirm this and what to do about it, I paid for a premium subscription on 3rd april 2020 but was running free version before Many thanks for any help mbst-grab-results.zip
  4. I am experiencing stuttering and lag in my PC and I think it is due to heavy RAM usage. I have 8GB of RAM; however, even keeping firefox and steam open leads to 60% usage. I tried doing a zombie handles test and there were a lot of zombie handle processes; however, I do not know how to remove these.
  5. I just created an account because I have been plagued with the exact same issue for about a month now. I even formatted my whole pc last night in the hope it would go away. When using qbittorrent with malwarebytes, at some point the computer becomes unusable (stutter/lag). I have to either close MWB or qbit for the problem to go away.

Please view Support Ticket 2785602. It's been recommended by a Malwarebytes employee to post in this forum. Three weeks ago the last statement from Malwarebytes employee was " They do know where the problem lies, it's now a matter of finding a way to work with Chrome and how it loads Extensions". Running Chrome 80.0.3987.132 and AOL web on startup with Windows 10, for quite a while there is quite a delay with Chrome opening on restart or boot up using Browser Guard 2.1.9 compared to other ad blockers extensions. Any updates or information will be extremely appreciated! I must state the Support I've received and continue to receive is excellent and like no other.
  7. So recently I've been receiving huge rubber banding and lag spikes while playing games on my computer. i know that my PC is completely capable of running these games at 60 fps with no problem and my ping is perfectly fine so i know it cant be my WiFi a week after this problem i decided to factory reset my PC because I've been planning on doing so but the issue still persist. I've also noticed that when i open my task manager for a split second my CPU is running at 50+% then its hurries back down to its normal 5-10%. I've ran plenty of malware bytes scans even with the rootkits option on but it says my PC is completely safe I've also ran McAfee scans but it also says that my pc is safe. "I'm sorry if my grammar is off i'm too lazy to be formal in this situation" Any tips or help would be appreciated Thank you for your time Malwarebytes www.malwarebytes.com -Log Details- Scan Date: 9/26/19 Scan Time: 9:31 PM Log File: a271ab76-e0df-11e9-a615-f4390931a01c.json -Software Information- Version: Components Version: 1.0.627 Update Package Version: 1.0.12663 License: Free -System Information- OS: Windows 10 (Build 18362.356) CPU: x64 File System: NTFS User: DESKTOP-R6TCKQL\ashir -Scan Summary- Scan Type: Threat Scan Scan Initiated By: Manual Result: Completed Objects Scanned: 280520 Threats Detected: 0 Threats Quarantined: 0 Time Elapsed: 0 min, 56 sec -Scan Options- Memory: Enabled Startup: Enabled Filesystem: Enabled Archives: Enabled Rootkits: Enabled Heuristics: Enabled PUP: Detect PUM: Detect -Scan Details- Process: 0 (No malicious items detected) Module: 0 (No malicious items detected) Registry Key: 0 (No malicious items detected) Registry Value: 0 (No malicious items detected) Registry Data: 0 (No malicious items detected) Data Stream: 0 (No malicious items detected) Folder: 0 (No malicious items detected) File: 0 (No malicious items detected) Physical Sector: 0 (No malicious items detected) WMI: 0 (No malicious items detected) (end)
  8. I recently upgraded from 3.3 to 3.4 and have noticed lag in Borderlands 2 when the game autosaves at a checkpoint. I did not have this issue with the 3.3 version and it only appeared post upgrade to 3.4. It makes the game literally unplayable. I have found other people who recently, as in the last two weeks who are having the same issue. https://steamcommunity.com/app/49520/discussions/0/1698293703772876529/ They also report the issue post 3.4 update considering the timing of the posts being March of this year. They solved it by disabling Malwarebytes Real Time protections. I can confirm that Malwarebytes is indeed the issue and when these protections are disabled the lag disappears. Please fix this, as I don't want to disable my protection just to play a video game.
  9. I dowloanded a file from internet and my PC is now slow af.. I even bought the premium malwarebytes to help but still doest help. Does someone know how to fix???? There is so much information on this PC so i cant start fresh windows :((
  10. Hi, I'm using Malwarebytes Premium Home and lately noticed that my windows explorer is lagging terribly when opening folders, opening files or even just using arrow keys to move up and down a folder tree. I uninstalled Malwarebytes and now it's all smooth. Anyone else experiencing this problem? Any tips to fix it? Thanx
  11. Actually registered an account to make sure this thread stays alive. I'm having the same issue as well. Launching task manager causes a short (about a minute), but massive performance drop where even the movement of my mouse cursor is massively delayed. Another issue I've been having is the same performance drop but in Rocket League and seemingly random timings. Never had this issue before the most recent Windows 10 update and I have yet to find a solution. Hopefully someone will be able to discover a solution soon. It gets annoying pretty quickly.l
  12. I have a virus on my computer and it make a loop with a pop up of "how do you want to open this file?" and it always appearing me.I have a print, and i already make the scan. Can you help me please? and here is my Farbar Recovery Scan Farbar Recovery Scan Tool (x64) Version: 26-10-2017 Ran by Ermin (28-10-2017 00:14:42) Running from D:\Downloads Boot Mode: Normal ================== Search Files: "krk.tmp" ============= ====== End of Search ====== PLS HELP
  13. 2 computers seem to be having this issue randomly; all of the sudden the lag time is huge - when i open task manager it says MBAMService is taking up 2BILLION bytes of memory, and my physical memory is at 97%. It usually also says other programs are open which are not (so they're running in the background). The most recent issue was today - we were in QuickBooks, and we tried to go to a website from QB, which caused this problem. I can't end the process - it won't allow it. the only way to get it to stop is to completely reboot the computer. Any help is greatly appreciated. --Jennifer
  14. As I found out, Malwarebytes does NOT STOP if you exit the program. It just keep scanning without caring what the user on PC need. I have a I4470k with 16gb ram and 3.8TB SSD and MBAM just eats away all the power I invested in. That is now OVER. SIMPLE WAY: 1) SCAN your Machine 2) disable scheduler and service 3) When you need it, start MBAM and it will start scheduler and service itself. After that I disable it again in services.
  15. This is my first post so hello everyone. My pc will get this generic freeze where all programs end up not responding for a short duration. I've tested it and it lags everything from the browser (FireFox & Chrome tested) to any running games and Skype. This happens ever few minutes and I can usually tell when its about to freeze up by the loading cursor. I've been having this issue after removing the malware and of course during the infection but far more serious during it. The biggest issue is that certain freeze ups last 1-2 minutes while some can be no more than 20 seconds. I did have utorrent installed after looking at my apps, I don't even know why its installed anyway. I'm certain that I removed all the malware, but thats probably me being careless. I've attached the FRST and Addition files. FRST.txt Addition.txt
  16. Hello, I'm not sure exactly if I'm infected or not, but my computer has been running extremely slow lately. Programs have been unexpectedly "unresponding" and there is a massive lag even as I type this. I believe even my music player is corrupted. But I'm not sure if I'm infected or just have too many files and such on this computer... Please guide me as how I may be able to fix this problem. Thank you very much.
  17. Hi guys, this is my first time posting here... hopefully I can get some great help from you guys. Lately my fps started dropping badly, if I play a game for more than an hour - a problem consists. This problem started happening around 2 weeks ago. At first, it was very minimal, so I didn't care. 18. I think I got malware on my PC. In the last time, games i was playing which were running fine before now tend to have lag spikes, and I have a little slowed windows explorer actions in general. My family isn't that aware of viruses, and i have seen some programs like "PC speed Up" or "MyPCBackup", which i surely didn't install. I have done some adwcleaner and JRT scans, but it seems that there are leftovers when i scan with HitmanPro (note: i have passed the 30-day free trial, so can't delete them). That's why i want to ask if i should worry or not. I attached FRST.txt and Addition.txt to the thread. P.S: Malwarebytes scans tend to be very long (53 mins today) , and the files scan is realllllly long, can't get to the shuriken tehnology scan. When i try to do the restart scan, it won't execute it, and just logs me as always. FRST.txt Addition.txt
  19. Good Day , i am really desperate now that i had force shutdown my laptop 5 times because of the freeze/lag my laptop gets when scanning not only MBAM but also my antivirus ( Avast ). Mostly they lag in these files: msvcrt.dll( only MBAM causes this), mvcp60.dll(both), mvcp100.dll(both), there are many more programs that they lag when scanning. First I tried hiding msvcrt.dll and it worked, then it lagged(as in i hardly can move my mouse cursor) again in mvcp60.dll so i deleted it, but in the next scan it lagged in mvcp100.dll, deleted it too, then there was this other program, that i cant remember, it lagged there too.... Can anyone help me with this problem, and pls. be patient with me cuz i am not expert in this. Thanks in advance .

  21. Before MalwareBytes Anti-Malware 2.0, threat scans would normally take 8-30 minutes to complete. However, as of the update, scans now consistently get caught on single files, and scans are taking longer and longer to complete. Scans went from taking one to two hours to complete to three, and now this scan has been going on for four hours and thirty minutes. Please help me, my computer is old, and I cannot have intensive programs like MBAM take up valuable memory for extended periods of time. Thank you.
  22. So I've been trying to find a fix for this issue for a couple weeks now and I just can't seem to figure out anything that works. My PC suddenly started lagging videos and flash content whenever my mouse moves over them, and is even lagging games now. I'm getting really heavy feeling mouse response when trying to play games like Osu!, like my mouse is being bogged down by something, and getting video lag, even though I'm not showing any frame loss. Things that really shouldn't be lagging are lagging heavily and I can't figure out what's going on. I tried a full uninstall of both my mouse drivers and my video drivers with a clean re-install, but that didn't help either. The only thing I can think of is that there's some sort of malware causing these problems. Also, when I reduce my polling rate on my mouse heavily, it seems to alleviate the lag caused by mouse movement somewhat, but not completely. I attached FRST and Addition.txt, and here is my hijackthis log. MBAM didn't find any malware, nor did spybot or any of my other scanning tools (run from safe mode). 23. Hi, it seems bitcoin has infected my svchost for awhile now, I have tried to remove it using malware anti - malware, but it never really did remove the problem. I have scanned this probably 20 or more times, and everytime it said "remove on reboot" or "quarantined and successfully removed". At first there was no harm keeping it, it didn't affect anything i do really. But then today, it seems to have sprung. Problem: On startup, everything seems to work fine, but as soon as svchost starts, it starts to lag like crazy; hovering over an icon, click on the start button, opening up anything, etc. At first i didn't know what it was, or why this is happening, but when i checked task manager, it seems like svchost.exe was running a big number. shown here: I knew it was the problem, because when i ended process of svchost, everything return to normal, my computer was running fast like it always does and everything seems to function fine, sounds, graphics, etc. So I ran a full scan and found 7 problems. 24. Hello. About 2 months ago, I purchased a Dell Inspiron laptop. - 2.50 GHz Intel Core i5 Processor - 6GB RAM - Windows 8 (64-bit) When I bought it, it was very fast and had no problems whatsoever. However, about 3 weeks ago, it began to slow down, and has since then only been getting slower. When I start up Chrome, it takes several seconds for what I type in the address bar to appear. Opening windows, right-clicking anything - not always, but the majority of the time is quite slow. I cannot think of anything that has happened to cause this - I have always been very cautious with what I download and it was more of a gradual thing than an immediate change. This happens even if I have nothing running in the background - I opened task manager, and nothing seems out of place. I disabled some startup programs I did not need or care for, ran Disk Cleanup, used CCleaner, used PC-decrapifier to delete unwanted programs, I used MalwareBytes (both a full & quick scan), Avira, and SuperAntiSpyware. None of the anti-virus programs even detected anything other than a couple minor threats, which were of course removed. It's not my internet either, it's like this no matter what I am doing. Now I'm pretty good with computers, but at this point I am at a loss of what to do. No one else uses this computer but me, it was not psychically damaged and has not ever had anything spilled on it. Does anyone have any suggestions for me? It's still so new and the specs are quite good, I was able to run graphic intensive games on it with no lag before, but now it's a hassle even when the settings are low! I just can't imagine what the problem could be.
