  1. Long story short, I downloaded a file which contains a virus; tried to run CCleaner, Avast, and finally Safe mode, when I realized keyboard is disabled during boot. I thought of system restoring using Comodo Time Machine, but that was after booting Safe Mode. After I reboot, I can't boot into safe mode, and Comodo is hindering me with something I need to press OK for, but keyboard isn't working.
  2. Hello. I'm a Windows 7 user and a few months ago, I've changed my laptop's keyboard (hardware) into a new one because some keys were malfunctioned. At first, everything seems fine but soon the keys started to going crazy. Some keys turned to shortcut keys (like opening a new window, open the control panel, etc) or freezed the screen . I don't know whether this got to do with malware or because it has a conflict with other program. After I changed to that new keyboard, I uninstalled some programs, bought and downloaded Microsoft Office 2016 and Malwarebytes Premium 3.0. The problem getting worse so I decided to restore the system. At first, it worked well but later, the same problem came back again. After googling for some help, I found out that my windows key is always stuck (though it seems didn't stuck physically) whenever I open the on-screen keyboard. So I downloaded SharpKeys to disable/turn off the windows key and I confirmed that the key didn't stick on the screen keyboard anymore. But, 'magically', my problem isn't solved yet. Sometimes, the short keys pop up randomly when I type the key *sigh* I have to restart my laptop a few times to make it better. Help me please...
  3. I use MBAM Premium on all my computer and Android phone. I have this suggestion that I think would be well received by anyone interested in online security... expand MBAM to include best of class anti-keylogging, anti-screenshot, anti-clipboard, anti-mic, anti-cam... make it a complete full featured anti-spy tool. I'm looking into Zemana Antilogger, HitManPro.Alert, SpyShelter, GuardedID for those very features. Those are foreign based companies, I'd prefer buying from a trusted US based company though. If Malwarebytyes were to expand in this direction, I feel certain it'd be a huge hit, and very popular. I'd certainly be a life long customer for all my computers and phones. If not expand MBAM for this, create a new complimentary product. Anyone that's looked at those other products for this additional layer of protection will surely instantly think .. Bingo, heck yes, I'd love a solid US based company to offer this type of product. To me, of the mentioned products, HitManPro.Alert and SpyShelter looks the most complete and what I'm primarily focused on at this time. Still all the while, I'm thinking, I wish this was from a major trusted US company with top notch support and the resources to make the product the best of class, covering all the bases, hands down, the gold standard of anti-spy tools.
  4. Installed Anti Exploit free edition with the hopes of eliminating the constant reinstallment of the pup "conduit" into Google's Chrome. This conduit has the attention of many as it cannot be blocked. Malware Bytes detects it plenty and quarantines the "preferences" file in Chrome, no problem. Upon restart the "conduit" appears again and continues with its interference of mouse and keyboard function. When conduit is removed from Chrome function normalizes somewhat but the best action is to not even open Chrome it seems. Tried all the remedies nothing works. Hoping Anti Exploit gets to this pervasive problem or I will have to give up on the relatively fast Chrome browser.
  5. I've never had to make a post on any forum before and usually refer to the self help sections, but what is going on right now is beyond me. I think it all began when I got Diablo 3, my account got 'hacked' and I lost all my gear. I didn't really care and allowed my blizzard account to become locked due to the security issues. I figured that since I had no interest in playing any game by blizzard anymore, I shouldn't have any problems. (on a side note, a guy from china added me and some other diablo players, none that I know. I suspect this person to be the culprit, though what can I do?) Guild Wars 2 came out, which I purchased and only played in beta. When the game was released I found that my account here had also been compromised. Someone was/is possibly still using my account. I don't really care about that account either, though I find it all very irritating. Somewhat recently my email started sending out spam emails and I thought maybe I just needed to change my passwords, which I have done, and it seems to have cured that problem. Now the letter keys on my keyboard aren't working, but only when I'm gaming. It works during all other times, and I read somewhere that there might be a keylogger on my computer (yes I've switched out my keyboards). I've searched and scanned and done everything but nothing is turning up. I haven't had any security breaches to speak of but I'm worried. Also my task manager doesn't display the running programs in the applications tab, though processes seems to be working fine. Can someone help me please and save me the work of reformatting my computer? Signed, Irritated
