  1. So my pc had been working slow for a few days, not sure if related to this problem, but today it culminated in having multiple javaws.exe processes filling up my memory and crashing my computer the first time. After I rebooted It was then that I actually noticed the problem. I then did a second restart without internet and it stopped the javaws.exe from filling up my memory. Afther that I uninstalled all java related products and deleted users from chrome. The problem isn't persisting anymore, the computer might be slower, but I am not sure if I am still infected or not. Could you help me with this. I did a Farbar scan and included the these .txt files. Also to add, I did a quick scan with Avast and scanned with Malwarebytes, and they didnt spot anything. 2. I recently noticed that javaws.exe *32 was running thousands of processes in the task manager. I googled this and was referred to a post from mid 2015. The first step in the recommended fix (which according to the participants in the forum chain worked) was to download ZOEK and scan using the software. However, when I typed ZOEK into the browser, all sorts of warning about its use came up, which of course caused me to pause with regard to the download. I was hoping that someone could confirm that ZOEK works and the post from 2015 (and the ZOEK post from 2013) represent the current approach to removing this java virus. As a side note, before I was able to find the malwarebytes post regarding the above, I tried to uninstall java, figuring that is how I got the virus. I was also running a full scan with up to date malwarebytes software, and began to select various javaws.exe files from the processes. All of the above cause my screen to go black for some time. I ultimately powered my pc off. After turning it back on, something is running in the background and not allowing me to do anything else. I will further admit, that I am NOT technically savvy. I respectfully request that any help someone can offer be dumbed down as much as is possible. Thank you in advance for your responses. HELP ME PLEASE! bcsnelllaw
  3. Hi, My small business uses a server running win 7 with up to 3 people remotely accessing it via RDP. One of the users had a process called javaws.exe that was using a large chunk of memory. The first time i saw it a few days ago i terminated the process and all was good. Today i saw the process again and after a quick google found it was a rather annoying trojan. The process dissapeared form task manager not long after detection and the RAM usage dropped but not by a large enough portion considering it was using 1.3 GB of Ram. I have since restarted the system and it has not shown up again in task manager in the hour since the restart. I did read that this particular virus is a deceptive and tricky one to remove though. I have in months past had an issue with a virus i believe came via a word doc someone opened from a random sender via email. I believe that i removed that and solved any issue related to it after detection. Now with this discovery i'm not so sure. Any help from a forum admin would be greatly appreciated. I have included the FRST.txt and Addition.txt files as requested when making a forum post. FRST.txt Addition.txt
  4. Yesterday my PC was fine, when I started this morning, I notice it was super slow to load, when opening taskmgr I noticed 10 thousand processes of javaws.exe running, please anybody can help me?
