  1. Hi, I am encountering the following error whenever I try to manually check for updates from the setting menu or perform a scan: "Something went wrong - One or more items in the current update did not complete successfully. Please check your internet connetion and try again. If you need more help, visit our support site." Also note the spelling mistake in the error message (i.e. 'connetion' should've been 'connection') not relevant by any means and I misspell often myself but just putting it out there just in case. There's nothing wrong with my internet and restarting my computer also didn't help. This was installed onto a new Windows 10 Computer, with all current updates as of yesterday. I also have an older built computer, with same OS, updates and MBAM version/updates and also seeing the same issue with that one as well.
  2. I was prompted that my free version malwarebytes was out of date, and the newest premium trial version was installed when I updated. Fine, will try it out for 14 days. But I cannot get internet connection w/o disabling real-time protection. How to remedy?
  3. Good day. I have been using Malwarebytes for a few years now to run periodic (monthly) scans on my laptop. It rarely, if ever, detects anything. Maybe just 1 or 2 detections in the past 3 years. For about a year now, when I run the "Threat Scan," everything comes up clean. But when I run the "Custom Scan" and check all the boxes to have it scan my entire system, it cancels part way through with an error message about how it could not complete the scan. Today, I went to run a scan, and I got a notice that a new version of Malwarebytes was available, so I let it download/install. After that, I set a "Custom Scan" to run, checked all the boxes, and left my laptop to do its thing while I did some other work around the house. I came back about half an hour later and found that my computer had restarted. So I logged back on, and I noticed that I was no longer connected to Wifi. My computer shows no networks available to connect to (I live in a neighborhood where dozens of connections usually show up). I can still connect to my own Wifi using my cell phone, but my computer cannot seem to detect any Wifi connections available. I am currently connected via ethernet cable and seem to have full internet access this way. When I opened up Malwarebytes and go to the Reports tab, I do not see any logs documenting the scan today. I have read other threads about people with the same issue, but the support provided to them seems to be very individualized, as in, there is no single universal fix. What do I need to do to get my computer back on Wifi? I am running Windows 8.1, 64-bit operating system. Thank you so much for your help.
  4. Hi I removed malwars on my laptop by Malwarebytes. But I lost my internet connection.I tried several different approaches. but still doesnt work. I saw again some adwares in google chrome , I uninstalled chrome. and after it I didnt have internet connection. when I restart my computer and start mozilla a website address sticks to mozilla shortcut . the website is: http://yeabests.cc everytime I remove it, it comes back.and malwarebyte oes not detect any malware or threat. nd right now I dont have internet connection on my laptop. I hope you help me in this area. BR
  5. It all started when I wanted to do a custom scan and added scan for root kits on my Windows 7 hp laptop. After that I reset my computer to delete a few Trojans. When it turned back on, it said Windows 7 was not genuine, I lost internet connection (wireless and Ethernet), and the program doesn't open so I can't check if it accidentally deleted an important Windows file. It can still turn on but it notify me that I might be a victim of software counterfeit. What should I do and did I corrupt a file or did a virus do something?
  6. I am unable to change the proxy server settings: it always reverts to proxy server 127.0.0.1 Port 60874. I have run Microsoft Malicious software tool and a Microsoft script to fix the registry but the problem remains. Attached are the text files that FRST generated. Addition.txt FRST.txt
  7. Hi, My OS is Windows 7, 64bit. I recently installed the Malwarebytes Antimalware. After scanning and quarantining 200+ files and rebooting my computer, I find that I am unable to access the internet on any of my browsers. What can I do? I have a file of the log I ran (in .txt) but I am not sure what else I need. I am not computer-savvy so please tell me what you need. Your help is great appreciated, thank you! mbam-log-2014-10-29.zip
  8. Hi there, I was hoping someone could help me....I've seen several topics like this, but it seems each requires personalised help, so I figured I'd post my own request. I recently ran a Malwarebytes scan on my laptop (Windows 7, 64-bit) to try and get rid of 'omega plus' and several other annoying things that kept popping up. Uninstalling and re-installing Google Chrome didn't seem to remedy the problem. Now it's unable to connect to the Internet using either Chrome or IE, saying their is an issue with the proxy. I've attached the scan log and protection log that were generated from the first scan. All files are in quarantine, as I may need to restore them? Sorry, my computer knowledge is incredibly limited and any advice would be greatly received. Thank you!protection-log-2014-12-16.xmlmbam-log-2014-12-16 (20-49-51).xml
  9. Hi, After using Malwarebytes to remove malware and adware from Windows 8.1, I cannot get Internet connection. I've seen other posts like this but they recommend getting individual instructions. I'm not sure exactly what information you require, as I'm not all that good with laptops, but let me know and I'll post them. I'm really grateful for your help.
  10. My Dell Laptop will not connect to the internet via wifi or ethernet cable. My desk top, iphone and smart tv all work okay. I tried using a wireless usb adapter and that didn't work. I'm pretty sure it's not a hardware problem. I even swapped out another motherboard with the same result. All other programs work although my computer takes a long time to boot up and it won't connect to the internet and wifi. When I boot the computer on, It says, "Connection Status Unknown." "Windows could not connect to the event notification service..." Norton Symantic sends me the following message: "Auto-Protect unexpected error - 0x000003E8." It will not system restore. It can not find restore points or they were erased. I'm using my old desktop and haping that I can download diagnostic programs from memory stick to my laptop so that it can resolve the problem. I was able to run a "Hijack This Log" using the memory stick. Please see the attached log. I also have old copies of Combo Fix and TDS Killer. I'm not sure if these can be loaded to a disk and then run thru my DVD drive or flash drive. 11. Hello everyone, Today I performed a full system scan with MBAM which detected the infected registry key: HKCU\Software\VB and VBA Program Settings\SrvID (Malware.Trace). It was quarantied, and I permanently deleted it and disconnected the infected PC from the network. After Searching I found some topics about it claiming it keeps appearing in scans, like this one: http://forums.malwarebytes.org/index.php?showtopic=124721&st=0. So I rebooted into Safe Mode and fully re-scanned my system with MBAM, found nothing and the registry key was nowhere to be found when I searched for it manually. Then I restarted the PC normally and re-connected it to the network, and when I looked for the registry key again it was there. So again, I disconnected and fully scanned, but MBAM found no infected objects, which made me worry - how was it so easily removed from my PC while others struggle to remove it, and while the registry key still exists? Just to mention, maybe it indicates something: the computer was connected to the internet only during the first scan when I first found the malicious registry key. During the other 2 scans that came after it was disconnected, but between those two it was connected for some time, and though I doubt it I think it may be the reason for the reappearing of the registry key and the fact it was not detected on the next scans. There were no other infected objects MBAM detected, and there is no "Socks" folder in AppData\Roaming that contains data collected by a keylogger as described in the topic from the link above. I seriously consider formatting and re-installing Windows, I easily get anxious from such things and I think the computer might still be infected in some ways. Thank you very much, I'll appreciate any help or suggestion!
  12. The attached screenshot is my issue . No internet connection... Keep with me and I apologize for the excessively large screenshots. The error message caught my attention, though right after this scan. I couldn't "analyze this" I got the 'No internet connection available' pop up. I began searching my PC for issues to resolve another issue that brings up the same internet error. The game League of Legends. I came across this error about 2 weeks ago out of random. I hopped back on my PC after not using it for maybe a month solid (I was using my laptop). And I ended up uninstalling and attempting to reinstall the game. And everytime i try and reinstall the game (even after a fresh client download) I get a very similar No internet connection error. Attached is a HijackThis log. The only thing i had up was this tab in google. Please help me understand if there is anything obviously wrong with these results that are reparable. = = = = = = Logfile of Trend Micro HijackThis v2.0.4 Scan saved at 5:59:20 PM, on 11/24/2012 Platform: Windows Vista SP2 (WinNT 6.00.1906) MSIE: Internet Explorer v9.00 (9.00.8112.16455) Boot mode: Normal Running processes: C:\Windows\system32\Dwm.exe C:\Windows\Explorer.EXE C:\Windows\system32\taskeng.exe C:\Users\Harry\Desktop\extra\OdoPlus.exe C:\Program Files\Common Files\Aimersoft\Aimersoft Helper Compact\ASHelper.exe C:\Program Files\COMODO\COMODO Internet Security\cfp.exe C:\Program Files\Saitek\SD6\Software\ProfilerU.exe C:\Program Files\Saitek\SD6\Software\SaiMfd.exe C:\Windows\System32\rundll32.exe C:\Windows\ehome\ehtray.exe C:\Program Files\Windows Media Player\wmpnscfg.exe C:\Windows\ehome\ehmsas.exe C:\ProgramData\U3\U3Launcher\LaunchU3.exe C:\Program Files\NVIDIA Corporation\Display\nvtray.exe C:\Users\Harry\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\Application\chrome.exe C:\Windows\system32\wbem\unsecapp.exe C:\Users\Harry\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\Application\chrome.exe C:\Users\Harry\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\Application\chrome.exe C:\Users\Harry\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\Application\chrome.exe C:\Users\Harry\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\Application\chrome.exe C:\Users\Harry\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\Application\chrome.exe C:\Users\Harry\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\Application\chrome.exe C:\Users\Harry\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\Application\chrome.exe C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Ink\InputPersonalization.exe C:\Users\Harry\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\Application\chrome.exe C:\Program Files\Trend Micro\HiJackThis\HiJackThis.exe R1 -
