  2. I have downloaded and tried so many scans that I have seen other people say to try. Nothing is helping. I noticed while playing any game online that every few seconds everything would drag and freeze up. Then I noticed my browser redirecting to Bing when I would search from the address bar, it would briefly show "extensions.citypage.today". Finally I discovered igfxmtc.exe in the task manager, and when the computer would drag there would be multiple processes running called "Windows Process Manager" (in details it is showing reihkdp.exe). I can not end the processes, I can not open or delete the folder for the the file location... NOTHING is working... I'm freaking out, because I just got this new computer a few days ago as a gift for Christmas, so me and my boyfriend could finally game together smoothly... and now I have this stupid virus!! Please, is there anything I can do to remove this? Btw, several anti-malware programs that some websites have said to use to get rid of this will not install or even open. It's like it is blocking the things designed to remove it.
  3. Hello! I really don't like asking for help with malware as I can usually remove it myself, but these two specific programs have been taking up my CPU [and ESPECIALLY my memory] and i'd love to finally get rid of these guys as this is both my work computer and my computer used for gaming, editing, all that jazz. I'm assuming one of which is using my computer as a bitcoin mining machine, which may be why the memory is always at 70% - 100% My MBAM logs don't seem to detect them, so i'm not sure if I can really send anything yet, but from what I can tell all of these buggers are in the local appdata folder, each with their own folder being named "iadnzsu" "igfxmtc" and "pwnmebi". Any help would be much appreciated, I've tried removing them myself but even in admin mode it locks me out of those folders and those folders only. Thanks! - Oso
  4. Hi all, I have the same issue I have been battling malware since infection last night and I have zeroed in on 3 folders in the AppData/Local folder: "auovemb", "csaentd", and "igfxmtc". These folders are locked up good. Can't delete/rename, or even look inside them. In order to look inside them, I installed Ubuntu bash terminal and cd'ed inside to peek around. I tried deleting these using sudo and chmod 777 but no dice. Of these 3 folders, only igfxmtc has an executable that's running in taskman. Can't end that process either. I also had two unnamed processes in taskman that, when I opened their file location, it brought me to SysWOW64/svchost.exe . I ended those tasks and the issue with my Chrome browser redirecting with ciytpage was non-existent....til reboot of course. I've since used alot of tools to scan, and they've all found a few things, but nothing has detected these three folders and their contents. That said, I'm patiently watching this thread to see if a solution occurs. thanks.
  5. So, basically I decided to download a free cheat for Fortnite that I seen on Youtube. Lots of positive reviews on it and whatnot, but come to find out - it didn't even work. I tried to delete said cheat and then I realized that the .exe had changed its own name and moved from my desktop where I'd put it. Shortly thereafter, my computer told me I needed to restart if I wanted to turn off UAC. I thought to myself: "No freakin way this is gonna happen." So, I find the .exe and try to remove it. No dice, I'm denied access. I install a program called ProcessHacker 2 and attempt to end the process and destroy the .exe. Access denied, and once I tried again, it gave me a BSOD. I got my PC back up - this time in safe mode - and decided to try again with the Process Hacker. The exe lost its icon and when attempting to use it on the .exe that I could clearly see, the program said that the exe didn't exist. I open task manager and see a LOT of new processes that are running my CPU to 100% way too much, and decide to try ProcessHacker on it. Access denied. Properties > Security > Access denied. I'm the only account and administrator on this computer and I'm denied access to everything that came from this virus. So, many longer stories on many more different tools (yes I backed up my important files on a thumb drive) I'm still stuck in the same spot with only one hope... Malwarebytes' specialists. Hope we can accomplish some goals because I'd very much like to get back to gaming. Thanks in advance. Addition.txt FRST.txt logmbam.txt
