  1. From https://forums.malwarebytes.com/topic/255169-win7-system-hijacked-through-firefox/?do=findComment&comment=1352928: Good question. https://www.malwarebytes.com/products/ positions Malwarebytes Browser Guard as supplemental to desktop security and mobile security. However there's a long tradition of people assuming that a desktop solution will be comprehensive, so I suspect that: many readers will not page down – many people simply do not discover Malwarebytes Browser Guard. From the blog post Browser Guard combats privacy abuse, tracking, clickbait, and scammers | Malwarebytes Labs: – quite verbose (five paragraphs, 163 words) followed by a large animated GIF. In retrospect it might have been better to have an unambigous "Yes" plus a link to relevant product information. However … … the product page https://www.malwarebytes.com/browserguard/ does not mention that it can/should be installed alongside desktop or mobile solutions. This page might benefit from a simple table – not too verbose – that lays out the additional protection when Malwarebytes Browser Guard is installed alongside a desktop or mobile solution. No mention of Malwarebytes Browser Guard at https://www.malwarebytes.com/mac/ or https://www.malwarebytes.com/premium/. ☑ https://www.malwarebytes.com/chromebook/#cms-section-2 does recommend installing the extension. The press release Malwarebytes Press Center - News & Events | Free Malwarebytes Browser Guard Combats Privacy Abuses, Tracking, Clickbait, Unwanted Ads and Tech Support Scammers: described Malwarebytes Browser Guard as a comprehensive browser security solution did not hint that the solution is supplemental (to desktop and mobile solutions). Side notes No RSS or XML feed for https://press.malwarebytes.com/ or https://blog.malwarebytes.com/. This can make it quite difficult for people to catch up on things. UX: the LOAD MORE button at https://blog.malwarebytes.com/ is unnecessarily far from the foot of the page, so I can't simply key End before using the button. It's necessary to key Page Up after going to the end. The product page describes Malwarebytes Browser Guard Premium but there's no such product (it's free, not premium).
  2. I use Malwarebytes Endpoint Security for my clients and occasionally, a home version of Malwarebytes gets installed. Will the home version run uninstall frrom a command line or script?
  3. I see in forums that Premium version is not possible to install on windows Servers... At least version 3.2 and up ... My question is : Premium for teams is in Bussiness section and the only one unmanaged version. Can i install it on Win Server 2008 R2 and Win Server 2016 ? If not, why is in Bussiness section? Just because of priority support ? What version should i buy, so i can install it on mentioned servers, but unmanagable.. ?
  4. I am checking out the pricing for Malwarebytes, and I see Malwarebytes Premium--"For Home" or "For Teams". Is the only difference between these 2 the priority support? Is that worth the $4 extra per device per year (with 10 devices)? Other than the fact that you can't buy more than 10 at once with "For Home"? Thanks in advance for any clarification.
  5. I'll try to keep this to the point as there is a lot to tell you, let me preface that I have read many forum posts about this issue and the solutions that worked for them did not work for me. And I have done this with a second account between 2 other pc's and have exactly the same problem ___________________________________________________________________________________________________ I migrated my licence from 1 installation to another on a different machine, I logged into my mbam site account and deactivated the seat that was used before activating my licence on the new installation, it worked fine, except... when my pc starts up all protection modes show as ON for about 20 seconds or so then web protection and ransomware protection show OFF going to protection options and switching them on, leaves them in starting position (which many people face) ___________________________________________________________________________________________________ Here's what I have done: as suggested in the forums, i did the following: - enable 'delay RTP when MB starts' (15sec) - both restart services & reboot that did nothing - changed the mbam shortcut advanced setting 'start as administrator' to enabled - changed the service property 'log on as:' implicitly to the administrator account with password entered - restarted services & reboot - once rebooted closed mbam app, right-clicked on app and selected start as administrator now Malware protection is off as well as the other two leaving only Exploit protection on now - so before i reinstall, I thought I'd ask here first ___________________________________________________________________________________________________ I have compiled the mbam log as described in the forums and attached it here along with screenshots of what i see on startup and ~20seconds after. if anybody is able to assist me i would be tremendously grateful to you thank you for your time and patience i know this was wordy mb-check-results.zip
  6. Hello! This is my first post here. After some recent update (I THINK it appeared like a standard Google update of some kind) my Android telephone which has been perfectly fine for over a year suddenly began displaying unwanted popup ads on my homescreen. They appear randomly and usually run the same 6-8 ads each time. I have done scans with both Avast and Malwarebytes and NOTHING has been flagged or found! The ads consist of a couple of what LOOK like Google play apps. One is for my battery. A couple have the heading 'WISH' on them. Sooooo, could someone PLEASE tell me, where the heck are these ads coming from...? I download NO games or superfluous apps. My telephone is rooted and I have gone carefully through everything that is currently running and I don't see anything out of the ordinary. Any suggestions would be VERY nice, thank you!
  7. When upgrading to version 3, the license becomes "Trial." My licenses are "lifetime" and I have screenshots to substantiate that. When a manual re-license is attempted, a message appears that says that the maximum amount has been exceeded. I have attempted to upgrade to version 3 several times, and on multiple machines. My original purchase was multiple licenses to qualify for a "site license" as instructed by CleverBridge. When I made the original purchase, I was told that if I bought a over a certain number of licenses, that qualified as a "site license" and was recorded as such. I can only use a certain number of machines at once, and I can attest that it is lower than the number of licenses purchased! There have been some instances in the past when a system had to be rebuilt due to hard drive failure or because of catastrophic system failure. In those instances it was not possible to perform "de-installations" or "remove license." In the meantime, I am having to click "Later" frequently when asked "Do you want to upgrade?"
