  1. Since I've been having registry issues and BSOD's lately, along with now having slower scans and "hang ups" when it's scanning files tonight, I just wanted to make sure nobody else is having this problem. At first I've thought it was my hard drive, but I've done everything to check. I've used the hard drive company's (WD) SMART test software. That came back clear. The windows 7 memory diagnostics came back clear. So did chkdsk and scannow. So I'm sure at this point it's probably not my RAM or a failing hard drive. Which brings me to the topic at hand. It seems lately that when I scan with malwarebytes, that's when I start having problems. At first it was registry problems when I restarted my computer. Now it's causing scan hang ups, where it takes 20 seconds or longer to scan a specific file (but it does complete usually). At one point trying to stop the scan caused a BSOD and I don't know what to do. If anyone else is having problems related to scanning in general, please let me know. I would hate to not know that the problem is coming from MBAM scans themselves and thinking it's a hard drive problem or memory issue, which again, it might be even with all the diagnostics tests I've run that come back clear.
  2. my old laptop, Windows 7 is infected with a virus. I probably got it from inserting one too many Flash drives from my friends. It appears to be infected with some thing called "Files.bat" and a shortcut virus. I will also note that I found some processes in my Task manager that look suspicious. "hwbky32.exe" and "mldcn64.exe" If these are normal please tell me because I absolutely have no idea. So yeah, this is what my flash drive looks like when I insert it in my Laptop. Hope someone will help me solve this!

  5. So malware bytes premium will not start up properly when I start my computer. I can only get it working if I end the processes and start it again. Obviously this is strange and not a good or effective way to have malwarebytes run. I have even tried a fresh install of windows from recovery mode. It makes me worried I’m infected, but who knows. Can anyone help? im running windows 7 64 bit on a Lenovo x230.
  6. Hello, I’ve been having problems with my PC and have run many malware scans from different software but my main protection is Avast with Malwarebytes premium. I noticed my router was redirecting to a strange IP so I decided to check my PC and removed some PUPs and other things malwarebytes found, but this didn’t fix the problem. I ran other detection programs like stinger, adwcleaner, tdsskiller, roguekiller, and some other and found a few more problems that I “removed” but I still feel uneasy after running a FRST scan. I was wondering if anyone would be willing to help me with this problem and make a fixtext for my FRST program. Also any information with the IP redirect would be helpful as well but I’ve contacted AT&T and am getting a router replacement (if that is the problem). Any response is greatly appreciated. Thanks, Joshua.
  7. Greetings all, I have tried deleting the quarantined files, I have also ran Adwcleaner on the most updated version and rebooted multiple times and it still appears in my new scans. I have checked my processes to look for anything out of the ordinary, I looked inside all of my HKEY folders to see if I could find anything in there or in System32, I also checked to see if there were any outside IPs connected in my hosts and there was not. Please help me in deleting this from my PC.

  9. So, I have a few threats that keep coming back no matter how many times I remove and restart (Even in safe mode.). It has also disabled my windows defender and I cannot re-enable it. How can I get rid of this, and fix my windows defender? Thank you. mwb.txt Addition.txt FRST.txt
  10. Heyo! I recently downloaded a file, which installed a bunch of viruses on my PC. I used MalwareBytes, HitmanPro and 2 other programs to wipe all the easy ones, but 2/3 of them seem to remain. They will not end task, and I cannot manually delete them. I only get "Access is denied." Please help, I am in serious need of it! :) The two/three ones that remain are called - "Service Provider (32-bit)", "Windows Process Manager (32-bit) and "zandorsvc.exe". The zando one is weird since it says it is by Toshiba (I have a microsoft laptop) and was created around the time that I got the viruses/malware. It's also weird since no one knows about it that I have found. Anyways, please help. Thanks! Thanks, Aiden.
  11. Malwarebytes thinks RegHunter is a trojan and keeps blocking updates. How can I get Malwarebytes to recognize RegHunter as a safe program?
  12. I'm getting an "Unable to Connect to Server" error from Malwarebytes after a clean Win10 boot. I've attached diagnostic files as recommended. Jeff mb-check-results.zip

  14. Hi, whenever I want to open Malwarebytes, it gives me the "Unable to connect to service" error. Already tried un- and reinstalling the program, but I'm still getting the same error. I've even used the mb-cleanup program and it didn't work either. I downloaded and ran the mb-check program which created a zip-file, which I'll attach in this post. Hoping to get this issue resolved Sincerely Lambda EDIT: added FRST and Addition.txt files mb-check-results.zip mb-clean-results.txt Addition_22-02-2018 13.49.55.txt FRST_22-02-2018 13.49.55.txt
  15. Through another program, someone installed a suprnova.cc miner. How do I remove it? Does MalwareBytes detect it?
  16. Hello, so I got a brand new pc and for some reason my malwarebytes found a 2 files that were under the category of "PUP" and it said Trojan.downloader.BDB. My pc is also super slow and freezes a lot and IT IS NEW! I have no idea what to do... Im so afraid theres still some trojan left in here ...
  17. Ever since the latest update, everything Malwarebytes refuses to work on my computer anymore. I am stuck in a loop where my computer asks to be restarted every-time I reinstall the program. (It asks to restart even before the installation progress bar ever moves). I tried the support tool, and it automatically goes into error. I am told that this is due to a virus or a malware, but that is as much help as I got with this problem.

  20. Greetings, I believe it started somewhere during this week or last, i'm not completely sure. At first i noticed that some of the tabs i was visiting didn't have the page title but the url between quotes. I was busy with work so i ignored it off as a chrome bug or something. Since i work as a webdeveloper, it's normal for me to sometimes go F12 and check JS console, then i noticed... Sometimes, when i load a website, the website gets loaded on a frameset, with a cryptojacking on the header. Check attached image. Thankfully, this alone doesn't do jack to me since i use Minerblock, plus i also have a lot of 0.0.0.0 redirection to known coin miners websites on my hosts file. At first i thought the obvious: Somehow i've got a rogue extension or cookie, easy. I cleared up chrome using google own instructions. But then i noticed it still happened. Also happens on firefox, IE, every single browser, even steam in-game browser is suffering from this issue. It IS a problem for mainly 2 reasons: 1) Even if i have the miner blocked, how can i be sure it's not doing something else to my computer, like tracking data before messing with the source code? 2) It's problematic and disruptive. Sometimes, every single connection i make, on a browser, on a game, gets randomly denied. i try again and it works. It's making me unable to do my work correctly; I tried running Malwarebytes, ADWCleaner, Hitman Pro... Nothing seems to stop this. Then i proceeded to my router, as it seems to be a networkwide issue; My ISP uses two DNSs: One of theirs and one from google. I proceeded to remove theirs and use only the google ones. Then i restarted router and PC. Same. i disabled uPnP, i shut down every port forward i had. i made sure both router and windows firewall were enabled. I made sure there were no Remote access enabled. I checked if there were rogue users on my router. Nothing. I have no idea what else to do. I've searched on google, didn't find any results related to what i'm facing specifically. I usually don't go out on forums asking for stuff like this, but honestly, i need help. I have lots of honest work to do and this thing is causing me a hassle bigger than it should. Extra things to add: - No, i dont have another computer to test under this network. Later today i'll ask my neighboor to connect to my wi-fi and see if the issue happens in there. - It seems to happen with every connection, even inside a game or when i'm making an ajax call, it just DIES randomly due to this stupid malware changing the header information; - SOME websites seem to be "immune" of this: Facebook, Google and Youtube. And no, it's not because https, i've seen it happening with some https websites too. - Before this happened, i remember my internet having random disconnects, i called my ISP and they said they were making maintenance. i wonder if it is possible for an ISP to do such a thing? And yes, trust me they could easily do it without consequences due it being a local town ISP where most people don't care about security issues. But i dont want to accuse them before being completely sure; - Everytime i turn on my computer, the connection icon says it's "without internet access" while it clearly works. Then after a few minutes it becomes normal. This wasn't a behaviour i've seen before this issue existed; - I tried loading my windows on safe mode with network. Same issue happens in there. One extra fun thing: NOW my router admin showed 2 connections on DHCP., Mine and an "Unknown" one. I disabled DHCP. The malware still works. - Before you ask for my FRST.txt, i'd rather not to. But if it's REALLY necessary, please provide me somewhere i can post it only for admins. It contains a lot of customer files that were trusted to me and i cannot even let people see their titles. There are too many for me to edit them out too. But if possible, i'd like to not post that. I believe that's all. Please give something for me to work here. I have no idea what to do.
  21. Hey, I'm more than a little panicking at the moment. I downloaded a copy of Premiere Pro like 30 minutes ago, which I've found out obviously isnt Premiere pro.. Im doing my malwarebttes scan right now and the current threat count is at 152... It says the identified threats are a mix of files and folders, most being called trojan.yelloader. Its popping up windows of ads 8 at a time and its playing through the speakers repetitively and I really need urgent help with this. The popup windows are called "fnrmavndt"

  23. Scanned my computer with the free version of Malwarebytes and had Pup.Optional.Reimage. Quarantined and tried to delete, but was there when I rescanned. Tried to delete it manually, didn't work. Tried Zemana, didn't work. Tried Adwcleaner, didn't work. The file is located at C:\\USERS\MYUSER\APPDATA\LOCAL\GOOGLE\CHROME\USER DATA\DEFAULT\PREFERANCES. Please help, I've got a project due in two days and I'm prioritizing removing this over doing that.
  24. So, I made a really dumb move by trying to downoad a programm that i knew wasn't safe and now, while I'm browsing on chrome, at random times, a new tab opens by itself and redirects me to some sports websites like "stoiximan.gr". I tried scanning my pc with Malwarebytes but it found nothing, windows deffender als finds nothing, and reseting google chrome seems to do nothing. Now I saw an article around here from a guy with the same problem and tried to follow the instructions given to him but, when i try to search for AdwCleaner, as was suggested to him, my browser crashed and, honestly, that kind of freaks me out. This thing that's happening is really annoying and it slows my browser's performance down substancially. Especially after the crashes with AdwCleaner and some other time when my pc was on stand- by and it had opened about 40 tabs on it's own, I'm really starting to freak out. What should I do??? Please HELP!
