  1. Tried to start a scan just now, but it immediately froze permanently and it won't let me close it at all, it makes me force restart my laptop. I use Intel Graphic, and a HP Windows 10 laptop.

  3. Hi there! Throughout the past few months, I've had problems running my Win7 Professional 64-bit PC rig properly. The problem showed as intermittent freezing of the whole operating system every now and then, let's say once in an hour or so, for around 5-15 min at a time. Meaning; I can't click on anything from the task bar, the mouse cursor turns into the spinning circle (as in; waiting, waiting ...); everything that I click on or type is stored in some kind of a buffer that then gets "released" after the clog re-opens. I am running ESET Internet Security 2018 (the latest version; 12.0.27.0) as well as Malwarebytes Anti-Malware Premium (the latest version as well; 3.6.1.2711) I have gone thru the problem on ESET's forums as well; https://forum.eset.com/topic/15962-eset-internet-security-updates-hang-up-as-well-as-sites-like-windows-update/?_fromLogin=1 Sorting out different possibilities within the last few months and I've indeed realized that it's ESET Internet Security 2018 and Malwarebytes Anti-Malware Pro/Premium conflicting with each other. Turning off Malwarebytes actually solved the problem altogether. However, I went thru Malwarebytes' website to see all the listed components of MBAM that should be added to i.e. ESET's exclusion list, and that did NOT solve the problem. Now as I'm running Malwarebytes again, the freeze-up problem has also returned as usual. Disabling MBAM = no problems, no freeze-ups. The two software used to work just fine together before this summer. I've tried googling up the ESET+MBAM combo and potential pitfalls and tried to check that I've got them all in order. These problems didn't start until the autumn of this year, however. Before that, I had been running ESET+MBAM side by side without any problems. So, since I already have the exclusion list done, is there any certain modules in ESET that should NOT be enabled while MBAM is also running? I can't reply to the original thread on ESET's forums [see link above in this post] since the thread has been closed (and I did not receive any messages of anyone actually replying to me), and now I'm wondering what should I do next. The thing is that ESET and MBAM both detect i.e. realtime web threats differently. Throughout the past few years, both of the programs have caught up with potential threats in time, sometimes it's been MBAM, sometimes it's been ESET that has caught the lurking culprit. So, I really wouldn't want to start disabling real-time protection features too heavily. All help is kindly appreciated. Thank you.
  4. I don't know if anyone has run across this issue yet, but I have had a really bad issue of my computer having a longer and longer delay in response time every time I turn on since the install of version 3.4.4. I can't get connected to the internet, I can't bring up any of my files, everything seems to get locked out. It takes me about an hour before everything starts running smoothly to where I have access again. Also since I installed 3.4.4 my mouse will be slow to respond and suddenly wander away on it's own like it's being controlled by another source. This has been happening since the update. This is a brand new computer. I have Webroot and Malwarebytes installed. I don't go to questionable sites. Not sure what's happening here. Anyone have any explanations or having any similar things happening?
  5. guess all i need to do here is post the text docs eh?... here's my other post where i've explained everything that's happened thus far.... https://forums.malwarebytes.org/index.php?/topic/153380-malware-bytes-keeps-getting-stuckfreezing-and-im-infected/?p=856983 FRST.txt Addition.txt CheckResults.txt
  6. ok things are getting wrose now , this is the second time i've done a clean instal of malware bytes and it still can't compelte a full system scan , i recall one of the times a scan was running before it got stuck it detected 26 items , but since it was stuck i couldn't do anything about it , then later i tried to scan parts of the computer indavidually , sometimes the scan would complete before it got frozen and others times it wouldn't , but i eventually scanned through all of my dirrectories and only ended up finding a couple things to be removed , so idk where those other detected items went.... and since then i now see my com showing clear signs of infection in my broswer certain text is being highlted as clickable links for spam now , i wasn't able to identify any processes in task that could be the cause of this , and i was able to run and complete full scans with other programs consisting of super anti spyware , mss and mmrt , which only super anti spyware found my browser coockies and i trojan i think it was and got those removed but it didn't fix either of these problems.... already tried running malware bytes in safe mode and the same result happened , gets stuck on a file and wont do anything else ever at all , tried leaving it alone for many hours to see if it would eventually get past whatever it was stuck on but it didn't..... i so far have only tried running a licenced version of the program , doing custom scan to enable scannning for rootkits , why that isn't part of the default scan is byoned my..... but so far it seems the program can never make it past 20 minutes of scanning before getting stuck.... so im at a loss of what to do now.....
