  1. So as i was using MalwareBytes my device found 43 detections as it was sending them to quarantine it was stuck on removing 4 out of 43 it has been 4 hours since and it still hasn't been removed , i have 4 gigabytes of ram and no background applications were running . So can anyone help me?

  5. I use malwarebytes 3 [home] premium and am happy with it, but I would feel a little safer if I had another antimalware program, obviously one that is compatible with mbam. I was using MS Security Essentials on my Windows XP system and it actually found a virus that mbam did not, or at least did not tell me about [perhaps MSSE stopped it before mbam had a chance]. I have Windows Defender, of course, on my W8.1 system, but apparently it has been disabled. I have tried Avira, but consider it too obtrusive. AVG appears incompatible. Avast seemed OK on my XP system, but I have not tried it on W8.1.
  6. Hi everyone! This is only my second post ever on this forum, and I am not very experienced when it comes to antiviruses and antimalware. My question is, is Malwarebytes Free (for me, it is version 3.3.1) good enough to protect my computer on its own? Should I upgrade to premium or download another antivirus?

While the previous version was very user-friendly, this one expects constant Internet connection, leaves a service and a try icon running, and no doubt has other problems I haven't discovered yet.   8. I'll start by noting that this issue does not exist on one machine, but several machines which are all on the same domain. However, not every machine on the domain has this issue. The machines all use either Windows 7 or Windows 10. Malwarebytes does not freeze. What happens is at some point during any point after scanning "startup items" the scan will suddenly appear stuck as the "number of objects scanned" will stop increasing. After reading https://www.malwarebytes.org/antiexploit/ (compare table) and https://www.malwarebytes.org/antiexploit/premium/ (browser components section), I want to ask this despite the fact this might be obvious for other people. I think that if MBAE would show both the number of shielded applications and the number of shielded processes would make things a lot clearer, rendering questions like this unnecessary.   16. The other day I did a Malwarebytes scan and everything was fine, no problems. Today I did a Malwarebytes scan on the computer I'm typing on, it found some things but I had to cancel the scan to remove it because the heuristic analysis was going on forever. Then I did a scan on another computer- it is still doing the heuristic analysis. It definitely wasn't taking this long the other day. Both the computers have the latest update and definitions installed. Is this a bug/side effect in the latest update or is something else wrong?
  17. Always recommended Malwarebytes to customers and friends but sadly this new version is bugged. The very first scan I did after upgrading worked fine. Tried various subversions of V2 free since including the latest and it now always hangs during the Heuristics scan. The program cannot be paused, cancelled or closed once the file count is stuck and so the process has to be killed off. I tried the usual recommendation of the uninstaller, reboot, reinstall - it makes no difference. Turning off "Use Advanced Heuristics Engine" doesn't actually turn off the Heuristics scan like you

  19. Maybe I'm the only one facing this issue. I keep my PC very clean (IT Manager). I run SAS, CCLEANER, AVG, and MBAM regularly. Haven't been infected in years.   21. Hi folks, I downloaded the free version of EaseUS partition manager yesterday and shortly after running it following installation, further installation of unwanted programs took place. I cannot be 100% certain that the EaseUS partition manager contains these but it has to be more than coincidence as they installed a matter of seconds after I ran EaseUS for the first time.   22. Recently, malwarebytes has been blocking a website by the name of "Project - Free TV." The website's url is http://www.free-tv-video-online.me. Although it's an inconvenience, I have dealt with this by bypassing this blocking by temporarily disabling website blocking. However, it would be pretty nice if it could be unblocked completely. Hey everyone, I just wanted to let you know that after updating the free version of Malwarebytes on an old computer of mine it now automatically updates as if it was a full paid professional edition. I didn't know if this was a new feature so I thought I'd mention it on here before I did anything. I have not activated the trial version, it's running the standard free edition.
