  1. I got a virus that renames .exe files by adding "g" to them (example: gfirefox.exe). Not just that it hides the .exe files, so they don't appear when i searched them. It's ruining a lot of my files so please help....
  2. I am running Malwarebytes Premium version 3.7.1. On a Windows 10 Pro desktop machine. Windows update says Windows is up to date.I have a small SSD drive that includes my operating system and my Malwarebytes Premium program folder. There are many ".tmp" in the C:\Program File\Malewarebytes\Anti-Malware folder adding up to more than 15 MB. I am unable to delete any of these files even though none of these files have been accessed since May 2017 according to Windows File Explorer. When I try to delete any of them I get a message that I need administrator permission to delete the files. I am logged on as an administrator yet every time I try to delete any of them I get the same message denying me permission to delete these tmp file from 2017.
  3. After a regular scheduled quick scan today, 21 installation files in my Downloads folder were flagged by MBAM as either PUPs or Malware. These files have been there for various lengths of time and never been flagged bad before. They were all originally downloaded while MBAM real time protection was running and not flagged, and I scanned every one of them with MBAM after downloading them and they were not flagged then, so I think it is extremely unlikely that they are dangerous now. I have attached the report, but due to the large number of files involved I have not attached them. 2018-10-06FalsePositives.txt
  4. when i download something on google chrome my files always corrupt , please help . i have a new harddisk and it runs windows 10 . i havent change or download anything from my computer .
  5. Hi, I am experiencing this issue since last week now. When selecting a file anywhere on the computer, it gets deleted to recycle bin and a message shows "transfer could not be completed". I have scanned for viruses but nothing is detected. The issue stops when I press any key on the keyboard and again comes some time later. This happens even when we type an email content. If the cursor is on the 1st letter it will forward delete the rest of the letters. Also it keeps typing "dot" if the num lock key is on. If it is off, then no issues. Is this a keypad issue or is this some kind of a virus. Please help me. Thanks Vishnu

  7. So, I came to know about this issue yesterday when I returned from school and used my laptop. All the files and folders except C Drive are hidden and there is shortcut of everything. I click on the shortcut and then I can access the file. But when I try to copy anything from lappi to USB, only shortcuts are being copied. Also, an .exe file is being created on the name of the folder and file. Third, when I tried to show all the system protected files and folders, a junk of files and folders came up on the disk. Don't really know what went wrong. Day before yesterday, I inserted my friend's USB into lappi. I think this might be the reason of this. Any help would be highly appreciated as I have to clean my lappi and don't want to loose any file whatsoever. Thanks, Steve.
  8. Hi, I used hitman pro and several malware files were detected in the Appdata\Local\Temp\ folder. I deleted them only to reboot and it picked up more of the same only different names example: "1234.tmp.exe" after deleting and reboot, 5678.tmp.exe would be found. I don't know where this came from or how to get rid of it. Malwarebytes does not pick it up at all so far. Is this something I should worry about. The info on HitmanPro says it is from Nircmd and NirSoft which I have no idea how it got on my pc unless installing a security feature on an external drive causes a false positive. I would appreciate any help.
  9. I have downloaded a torrent of sims 4 game it was 16 GB so I lefted 2 days downloading after the torrent finished the popups websites on google chrome keep opening and cmd saying it is transfering files and there was written simstransfer.info and many process then navigate to copied successfully of two files but when I tried to capture the process so I can put it here it goes away fast to another in cmd and then cmd stay opened and doesn't go by itself .. I then close it by myself... I have tried many antimalwares but they did nothing although I saw the reports and removed malwares but the problem still exist, tried Hitman and tried them in safe mode with networking but still the same what I have noticed is that cmd starts poping up and so for the websites pop ups when startup and then repeats in different times through the day. I uninstalled utorrent and any of the recent programs. In cmd says that is from system 32. If I can capture the cmd proccess I will put here... and thank you.
  10. Alright, so I just finished my first Malwarebytes scan and including PUP's and PUM's I had about 1250 threats most of which were PUP's. When the scan ended I hit the move to quarantine button and the indicator circle popped up but the number remained 0/1250 for a half hour. How do I get the files to move to quarantine?
