  1. Hi, your payment portal 2CO.com. Are flatly denying me a refund that they themselves promised in 8 hours. I have proof that they are holding on to my money from my bank, as a pending payment.They will not refund it. They say its nothing to do with them, its a Mbytes problem Its now the next day. I contacted them just a mo ago, and they told me to contact malwarebytes. I already have been in contact with MBytes for 2 or 3 days. The result.....you've cancelled my subscription. Why? PLEASE WHY? I never asked you to cancel anything, I was at the time TRYING to BUY something from Mbytes! Now I have no subcription, no premium account. So basically im being passed from pillar to post. It looks like ive been scammed by a security company. 2co said that they answer Mbytes problems, for Malwarebytes! Are they inside and part of Malwarebytes? Nothing in this 3 day episode has been addressed with any serious thought, The communications I send are not read, that is evidentially true. If thats not the case, then its one almighty mess up. The answers I get in responses from Mbytes are completely non sensical. Who do I believe? 2CO or Malwarebytes? At the moment NEITHER. If anyone has had similar problems please respond to this post. thankyou.

  3. Error message says "Download Failed. Check Internet connection and try again." My Internet connection is okay however.
  4. My Premium subscription expires in 2 days ans I have been unable to renew it. This has been happening for days and there doesn't appear to be a way round it. Any assistance would be very helpful. "File not found The page that you requested cannot be found on this server. This might have the following reasons: The link you are using is not valid anymore or wrong. You have not entered the URL correctly. The page does not exist anymore. If you have gotten to this page over a certain URL, please inform the owner over the page that offered this link so that he can update his page."
  5. I decided to do a clean reinstall of Windows tonight and I am running into an issue. I have both Malwarebytes 3 and Malwarebytes anti-ransomware. When I installed both before, I was able to get them to run without issue. Now, I am getting an error "Unable to start - Unable to connect the Service". This error message happens for Malwarebytes anti-ransomware first, but then upon reboot, it effects Malwarebytes 3 and it won't launch, but Malwarebytes anti-ransomware works fine. Upon further inspection, the service in Services returns the following error when trying to manually start it "error 80040154: class not registered" Any ideas? I also submitted a ticket to malwarebytes support.
  6. The ransomware protection wont turn on. It tells me its starting and that's it! . I have the latest version of Premium Malwarebyte. I have deleted the program using the online tool and also the control panel in windows 10. I have re downloaded the program from scratch and still have the same problem. Any suggestions?
  7. Malwarebytes 3.0.6 Scan Ending at Prescan Operations Hello, I am experiencing issues with Malwarebytes 3.0+. I click scan and wait for it to check for updates, it gets to the start of Prescan operations and then says: All good no threats detected. Any ideas of what has caused this?   8. Hi I am unable to activate Anti-Ransomware Beta while proxy using a proxy server in Internet Explorer. It works fine with a standard broadband connection and no proxy settings enabled. I can ping mwbsys.com and get a response, but when I ping malwarebytes.org I get a Request times out message. Can you confirm if this works with proxy settings enabled? Thanks
  9. I was waiting for my Malwarebytes Anti-Malware Program to auto-renew today which I reinstated a couple weeks ago. However, I see a message telling me that my subscription as expired and my Protection as been temporarily extedned due to the renewal failure. Could it have had the wrong payment information?
  10. My previous topic is here I have no idea what is causing this error, and if it is malware or not and I was told that I can get better support here. Some things to note: My disk is not encrypted with TrueCryptI have no other installed AVs besides MBAMA scan I did with Comodo Internet Security turned up cleanClean uninstalling and then reinstalling MBAM doesn't fix this errorThis error happens in Chameleon mode and Safe Mode Attached are the FRST and MBAM logs.   11. Okay, I'm getting annoyed right now. MBAM blocked that website permanently, I excluded it's IP, it's domain name, and I still can't access it. Chrome says that it's denied. The browsers cannot access it also. Why did Malwarebytes blocked it in the first place anyway? I download the students' PDF lessons there for a long time now and I haven't got any problems. Just because it's from a Chinese country? Oh boy, that's not a good thing if you're basing websites' safety via countries. It PROVES that you all do not even bother looking thoroughly at the websites. MBAM is the only culprit here; it's the only one that blocked that website. Now I can't access that site permanently. Don't get me wrong, Malwarebytes is a great anti-malware. But it's getting in the way of business.
  12. Hello, My computer was infected with Trovi spyware. I have attempted to manually clean the virus multiple times without luck. When trying to run MBAM the scan fails after 3 seconds with the error, "SDKDatabaseLoadDefaults failed with code: 2". I am running windows 7 NT. My research on the topic leads me to believe the spyware is blocking MBAM from running correctly. I have attempted the following with no luck. 1. Remove all AV software 2. Run MBAM in safemode 3. MBAM clean removal tool and reinstall 4. Chameleon mode (test 1 did find a malicious program but the scan still would not run) 5. Download and save MBAM under another filename on another device and run from flashdrive on infected PC. Any assistance would be much appreciated. -Matt
  13. I've tried to upgrade to the latest version of Malwarebytes, but the installation fails. When installing, I get an error stating that it can't change (or replace or something like that) the file mbam.sys in the folder C:\Windows\System32\drivers . Clicking Retry doesn't help, when clicking Ignore the installation proceeds, but the Real-Time protection will not work. For now, I'm back with MalwareBytes version, but of course a fix for this update error would be nice.
  14. Whenever I try to run a scan, MBAM will ask to install database updates. Whether or not I let it install database updates, it will fail with either "SDKDatabaseLoadDefaults failed with code: 1812" or "SDKDatabaseLoadDefaults failed with code: 2". This same issue happens in both Chameleon mode and in Windows Safe Mode. I'm currently running Windows 7. (Ignore the Windows 8 theme)
  15. So, I've got several clients that I've recommended a combination of NIS and Malwarebytes to solve all their heartache, and so far, it's been pretty good so far. However, now I've got a Win8.1 PC infected with this snap.do crap, and Malwarebytes doesn't even recognize the problem. This crapware has been in the wild for 2 years, and my client wants to know why she spent money on a piece of software that won't even stop malware that's at least 2 years old. I can explain away zero-day attacks, like the Crypto-series. What I can't explain away is this software hijacking her computer that shows up in the Add/Remove programs, that Malwarebytes is blind to. Apparently, Spyhunter is capable of dealing with it: it certainly sees all the pieces of it, and even sees pieces of stuff that Malwarebytes left behind in it's "cleaning" process. Can someone detail to me the reason that Malwarebytes is not capable of dealing with this crap?

  17. Greetings! I am helping my son's friend with his Toshiba Satellite S855D-S5303 with Windows 8. Unfortunately, no one told this kid to at least install an anti-virus protection program. (I don't know him that well) At any rate, I tried tried to download and install the latest Malwarebytes in both normal and safe mode in Windows 8. The installation is being stopped at about 60% with the what seems to be a bogus error message: "Unable to install Maleware Bytes Your PC requires cleanup before install" I've used Malewarebytes several times before to help other friends and family, as well as for my own personal use and I've never seen this issue. I would greatly appreciate any advice I can get... I have run the 'HijackThis' utility and I am attaching the log file for your reference. Hello, I have an IBM MT-M 8184 and I've recently stumbled across a warning telling me that I had to run a chkdsk due to a file, not having a clue what this file was or how to run a chkdsk, I went to the Microsoft website, it told me to run chkdsk using run, cmd, /chkdsk blah blah blah. After typing 'Y' when it says "Do you want to reschedule?", I was told to restart my computer, now I have the feeling that the files that were corrupted and deleted by that chkdsk run were essential to start my computer, as I no longer can, all I can remember is that the file was in c:/users/(insert username here)/Documents and Settings/ and inside this there was a hidden folder which I had to use a 'Search' to find, you know, the thing with the inspector dog. I am running a Windows XP Pro OS. Details on the restart: When I restart, after showing all my specs for a split second (like it usually does) my screen goes completely black (like it usually does) and I'm waiting for my mouse to appear and show the log-on screen, but neither of those things happen, the screen stays black and my computer stays in the 'reading' process as I can hear that my CPU is running pretty hard (my tower makes a vacuum cleaner noise, as when it does when it is lagging a lot etc). In case you're asking, I have tried to do the last known good config and the same thing happens, I have also tried to run on all safe mode options including Safe Mode, Safe Mode with Command Prompt and Safe Mode with Networking. These 3 modes' start-ups were a bit different though, they froze on the screen where it is loading all the files on the screen, the last file I get to see on my screen is from my antivirus, which is the Free version of AVG. I have not yet tried the 'Reboot' option feeling a queasiness that I shouldn't do something else which I knew absolutely nothing about. Is there some way I can fix the start up, because it seems that I won't be restoring the deleted files during the chkdsk if I cannot start my computer to begin with. I have had my computer on for a few hours before and the screen is still black. I've also waited a few days as this has happened before but the next day I could start it again without any problems, but this time it doesn't seem to be as easy. If it helps, I have had a notice that my Windows wasn't genuine for a few months now, which has taken away my wallpaper and placed a black screen with a blue box on the bottom right corner telling me that I need to obtain a legit version of Windows, which is rather strange since my version is completely genuine, and I have installed the OS to other computers and they haven't had any problems. I hope to receive help soon as I am using my sister's laptop without consent, and if she found out, she would infact kill me. I also am trying to avoid getting a whole new computer even though mine is outdated since I don't want to raid my family's wallet since I lack a job, also a big part of why having my own computer is a necessity.
