  1. I just added a Motherboard, Processor, Power Supply, and Memory to my old desktop. No problems so far. Malwarebytes is setup and runs great. Tomorrow I'm going to add a WD Black M.2 Drive and make it my Boot Drive. My current Boot Drive is WD 3.5 HDD. Is there any advice that would help transferring boot to the new M.2 drive? I also have a 5TB External drive connected by USB 3.0 I use for back up. I'd like to make small part of it a bootable partition for booting if I had a problem. (I also have a Recovery USB at a relatives house.) If anyone can give some guidance it would be very appreciated. I apologize if my descriptions or terms I used weren't exactly right. Windows 10 Pro all updates to 20H2.
  2. Hi, I have a use case where I scan external drives with Malwarebytes and Windows Defender before attaching them to the network using a defence in depth approach. Prior to the latest updates (Windows and Malwarebytes), when scanning the drives, the file count was the same. Since the latest updates applied last week, the file count is different by approximately 25 files. Could you provide guidance regarding this disparity please? Thanks Dave
  3. Greetings, I'm really impressed with the trial version thus far and the level of protestion it offers and very much considering purchasing, however I was wondering whether MB protects your external hard drive while online? As I am a music producer and collaborate with others in production online where we send files to and fro frequently. Thanks in advance...
  4. As soon as I plug my external drive to my PC my QuickHeal antivirus gives me the following message. It doesn't repair the file or clean the infection but just display the message that the file is skipped. I am afraid of using the external drive that it may infect my PC as well. But i can't do a full formatting as well as I have a lot of my work files in it which I need to back up or copy before I format the whole drive. Please some one help to remove/clean the infection from my external drive. Also, why my antivirus is not cleaning the infection as it is a paid and full version one!!! 5. Greetings All - Long time observer, first time poster. I've been having trouble with my Dell M1530 lap top. It doesn't "recognize" my Seagate FreeAgent Go1TB external drive. It's happened sporadically over the past two years that I've had the external drive, but now, it's not showing up at all. However, the drive flashes off/on as though it's running ok (and as it has in the past). I've run the diagnostics on the hardware and it says the USB ports are all functional. Any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks!
