  1. Hello all. I'm constantly having to untick a task after scan as I don't wish it to be cleaned - task is situated C:\Windows\System32\Tasks\Driver Booster Scheduler - but none of the entries to add it under work, I though 'File' would be best but it states to "insert an existing file", if the file isn't there why does a scan find it. How do I add this to the exclusion list? Thanks,
  2. hey guys, i need help with settings please. so i added these 2 exclusions a while ago, but now i want to remove them, i select them, delete them.. but then they come back for some reason why? edit: im using the free version btw
  3. How is this done? The How-To gives the following instructions: But this does not seem to be the case. The only areas responsive to clicks are the two buttons - and clicking "Manage Exclusions" only opens the window, you still have to manually add the exclusions. Edit: Also, would it be possible in the future to support wildcards in domain addresses?
  4. Hello, I am running the latest Malwarebytes as of 25 December 2017 (3.3.1), and the Ransomware protection is not honoring whitelists. It used to be the Website Protection layer that did that, now it's the Ransomware Protection. To wit: My cygwin installation is at D:\cygwin64 I have added D:\cygwin64 to the Exclusion list I have tested initialisation speeds, disabling one protection layer at a time. Only when Ransomware Protection is enabled does the shell take longer to execute commands.
  5. When I am in Malwarebytes (v 3.3.1.2183) Settings Tab ->Exclusions, currently when I Remove an Exclusion (while checked) the exclusion does not disappear from my exclusions tab. This leads me to believe the exclusion has not actually been removed. I still am not sure which is true. Windows 10 Professional x64 Malwarebytes version: 3.3.1.2183 Component package version: 1.0.262 Update package version: 1.0.3545 Current DT: 12/22/2017 CST (Partially obscured "Exclusions" tab: when I remove an exclusion it should disappear from the exclusions tab if it is indeed being removed from malwarebytes "Exclusions".) Thank you!
  6. When the apparent error in flagging a website just popped up, referencing "exclusions", I went, for the first time, to that tab. To my suprise, there were two IP addresses there; I did not mark them for exclusion from detection. One of them is/was 58.218.200.111, and I removed it from the list, because a search reveals it is from China: https://www.iplocationtools.com/58.218.200.111.html. I inadvertently removed the second mysterious address from the exclusion list before recording it completely. What is going on here? How can Malwarebytes allow these exclusions to be entered, and how can this be prevented from recurring?
  7. Hello, Firstly I want to say for the most part I am satisfied with the service. With that being said I have recently encounter some things that have been gnawing away at my patience. 1) Exclusions: Folder Exclusions, and for the most part exclusions in general don't appear to work as intended - at the very least, how I intend it. Whilst it is most common when I use trainers from the likes of Cheat Happens, and other similar services, it has also happened for game patches and even website exclusions. I have to go in and add each individual file I want excluded in the folder, even though I set up the folder as an exclusion. Am I wrong to assume that is how the Folder Exclusion is meant to work? If anyone has a solution to this so that the things I place in that folder will be excluded, I would definitely appreciate it. 2) Offline issues: Recently we had a really bad windstorm, upwards of 131km/h. This of course caused issues with the power grid and, since I'm out in the country - my internet. With the tower that provides us internet being knocked over, we had to wait for them to rebuild the tower and realign their radios to once again provide us internet. So we had no internet for about 2-3 days. Over the course of those few days, Malwarebytes saw fit to remind me every 10-30ish minutes that I was in fact offline. It gave me an error saying it could not connect to the license server, and that my updates were not current. This alone probably wouldn't be an issue, but it demanded my attention. Minimizing full screen games, and popping up over every open window which interrupted my writing. When I finally got frustrated, I decided to just leave the error up and perhaps it wouldn't minimize my game (sometimes causing the game to crash). It worked, but it caused another issue: endless amounts of errors. I had to sit and hold enter for upwards of 2 minutes for all the errors to be dismissed. I'd close it down, and another would pop up, close it down and another would pop up, and so on and so forth. Our internet goes down often enough that I had noticed this to a smaller degree, but it was never for more than a few hours at most. So this was incredibly frustrating for me. I'm not sure why this is necessary, though I suspect anti-piracy has something to do with it. I don't know what you can do about it because piracy is a rampant thing with software, but I was frustrated enough that I felt like posting it here.
  8. Hello, I wrote support which should have been able to help me with this simple task but they sent me here instead. When I want to go to a website I should be able to go there and override the blocking system some how. Can someone please tell me how I can override the blocking system??? Sometimes I get a pop up that says add exclusion and when I do that works but when I try to add it myself manually it simply does not work! Please help me figure this out THANKS so much...
  9. I can't email files from Acrobat reader because Malwarebytes blocks them. I have excluded all the .exe from the adobe reader folder in vain. When I ask an exclusion on a previous exploit, the list is empty although in the reports I can find this exploit. 10. I got a client thats got a proprietary software they absolutely just had to buy and of course im getting malwarebytes shooting non stop anti-exploit alerts. I added the install path to the ignore list within the management console C:\Program Files (x86)\stupidprogram\* no luck keep getting an alert and message from malwarebytes, from the clients security logs i see the alerts and try to right click - add to exclusion list, wont work "Selected threat does not contain a valid payload checksum, it cannot be added into exclusion list" I read some forums and found that anti exploit stopped it so fast that a checksum is not yet determined, yet how do i fix this??? Malwarebytes management console version 1.8.0.3443
  11. Hello, brand new forum member here. I just wanted to ask a question that's been bugging me for a while now: Is it possible to exclude an entire category of detections from Malwarebytes Premium? I ask because I use memory-resident programs called 'trainers' that modify the values of a game's RAM to cheat or mod, like infinite health or super jump. Real time protection and scans always classify these as malware and remove them on detection, which is reasonable. But, if I actually want to use these programs I either have to exclude each folder or file manually or exclude the root Downloads folder, which opens my system up by a large margin. So, could I for example, add all 'CheatTool.CETTrainer' or 'Riskware.*' detections to a whitelist and prevent them from being remediated?
