  1. Hello, My screen is acting in a altered/hacked way. it seems to pulsate or vibrate and there is some shadows overlaying (gohsting) on desktop screen. it looks like a terror corps invaded the screen. It first occured years ago on my older mac After opening files downloaded from a torrent site.( not realizing danger) and got on my new laptop now, not knowing it were those files on the external HD that got me in trouble the first time. The screen gohsting, overlayer and slight pulsation started immedeatly after opening the files and got me scared. Also i found 400plus photo's on my HD of very disturbing nature which were probably downloaded with the torrent. I have tried already the obvious solutions : clean installs, resetting nvram running in save mode (which helps a bit) etc. but it only got rid of a part of the problem. and still the screen is not completely as it should be. different anti virusses didn't show anything. bitdefender, clamxav, and my full malwarebytes program. i have searched on the apple support community but no real similar problems are reported I am still in search of a solution as i realy can't work on my macbook. and wan't to look deeper into this. i am worried it is some code/programm that has changed my startup settings. I have checked my hardware by official apple repair center which didn't show any problem and changed the screen and logicboard . Is there anywhere i could start to look or what i could do to further find this malicious alteration of my display? as malwarebytes didn't find anything should i run other malwarebytes programs ? Many Thanks for all possible help! it is very much appreciated! kind regards Johny I have been with this problem for some time now
  2. May I suggest that its high time you had an option for scaling to, say, 125% and 150% for high DPI displays. Your interface really is too small when used on a 3840 × 2160 screen. Fortunately, one does not have to do too much on the screen with this type of software so the size is tolerable, but it would be nice were it possible to make it a bit larger. IMHO the size of the pop-ups on the bottom right is perfect but the main interface could use 125%, I believe. Thanks.
  3. This forum is *much* too unwieldy to use! Anyhow, my problem is that if I open MBAM, it automatically changes the screen resolution from 1024 x 768 pixels to 8oo X 600, so I also get big icons and see only a fraction of the screen that is supposed to be displayed. This began when I downloaded & installed the latest model of MBAM. While trying to deal with this today, I got a notice that a new version was out, so I changed to it, unless it is the one I already had. I suppose it is 8.3. It told me that it had 800 X 600 resolution, but gave me no way to change this setting. Does the same as before. I can now solve it by changing the computer setting in the Control Panel, but I shouldn't have to do that every time I want to run an MBAM scan, should I? Also some MB screens display on the left-hand ± 20% on the right-hand ± 20% of the physical screen. If there were a compatibility setting (for OSs, not AVs, which you have) for MBAM, that could be the issue, but if there is such a thing I can't access it or even find a link.
  4. (Not moaning about MBAM for once ) This must be an Invision board problem, because this isn't the only Invision forum I'm seeing this on, but I thought I'd ask here as this one has generally more computer-savvy readers! When I try viewing this forum (and other Invision ones) on my Windows 8.1 laptop, Internet Explorer 11, everything shows up just as HTML, i.e. Times New Roman(?) font, links in blue, any capital letters in place of avatars being blown up to a gigantic size, and is incredibly difficult to navigate, plus you can't post properly and have generally very limited functionality. At first I thought it was just down to a really poor broadband connection, but I've since tried it on some far more reliable wi-fi services with the same results. If anyone has found out what the problem is and how to fix it, please do tell! Thank you.
  5. Currently, dates displayed in Malwarebytes 3.0x are locked into displaying in US format and, as you know this, is MM/DD/YYYY. This means that 7/8/2017 would be interpreted as 8 July 2017. In Australia this actually reads as 7th August 2017. Can you change the dates as displayed in Malwarebytes 3.0x to follow the system locale formatting. Another option is to display the month using words instead of numerically.
  6. My computer keeps crashing. Every startup asks if I want to start windows up normally and I hit the enter key. Everything runs fine when the computer starts up but very shortly after the screen will go black and sometimes the screen will come back on with a message saying "Display driver stopped responding and has recovered. Display driver NVIDIA Windows Kernel Mode Driver, Version 311.06 stopped responding and has successfully recovered." Other times the screen will go black and not come back on until I power down the computer and turn it back on. I have read that this could be an issue with overheating, my psu, gpu, and even my cpu but none of them really say how to fix it or even how to figure out what is causing the issue. I cant even use my computer long enough to download anything to it. Is there any solution of possible cause to this? I am using an nvidia graphics card but I don't know very much else. I am not a very computer or tech savvy person so if you do have any suggestions or fixes please make them as thorough and user-friendly as possible.
  7. Hello, Just a small suggestion; perhaps it has been suggested before but searching for it yielded no results. I'd really like to see the addition of being able to see detections while a scan is in progress. As it currently stands, I have to wait until the scan has finished, or cancel it early in order to see what has been detected.
