  1. I recently noticed my paid subscription to Malwarebytes kept crashing partway through scans. I also have avg paid full protection and somehow I still got infected even though I’m very careful and clean. Avg cannot detect either, both on max settings. Went to safe mode, cannot run windows defender scans, cannot run avg, Malwarebytes cannot detect anything. Really need help cleaning my machine, please help!! No downloads or extra files and cannot find a virus although I’m a novice at that.
  2. Hello you guys, I'm a student. When I study malware, I wonder how we can detect a file that was infected? I google and then knowing that, AV, and some sandboxs detect malware through hash256. Howerver, I can not understand how it works. Please help me know, how we can hash a file then compare with hash database? Thanks for reading!
  3. Hello, I'm a software developer and, as a previous post, my program was deteded with the MachineLearning/Anomalous.96% malware. My customers doesn't appreciates this detection... Please see the attached files. Thx https://www.mcercle-facturation.com log_mcercle.txt mcercle-pro.zip
  4. Hi everyone, I'd like to know if there is a way to detect special spyware. malware, trojans, keyloggers..and more...created by the biggest ethical hackers worlwide for government's agencies like cia, nsa, all secret agencies worlwide? I ask that question because in the deepweb, some black hat are selling malicious spyware, trojans, keyloggers and many more, and the contract tells that compagnies like norton, avast, yours and all anti-malware haven't got these tools added into their database, and cannot detect them in any way... It's written that these tools are done by th
  5. Hello. Long time Malwarebytes user; I love your program. That said, this detection seems a bit off. At my latest scan, just after updating Avast, I recieved a notification that: C:\ProgramData\AVAST Software\Avast\gf2engine\reganalyze.dat contained Spyware.Pony. It seems kind of a strange place for Spyware to pop up, especially Pony, as it is primarily distributed via malicious Emails, and I practically never use my Email except to confirm account registration on reputable websites. Unfortunately, when trying to restore the file to upload it with my log, Malwarebytes gives a rather unhe
  6. I was typing in some malicious websites into Google Search (not the URL bar so I wouldn't actually GO to the site) to see if my SiteAdvisor would display an "X" next to the dangerous site, just to test it (I guess there are better ways to do this but I figured this way was safe). I typed it in like I did in the screenshot below. Malwarebytes then showed a notification for that website being blocked, even though I never actually visited it. Will typing a bad URL into Google Search actually harm my computer, or does Malwarebytes just show the notification to warn you not to visit the site or som
  7. Someone recently who works in the computer industry as a programmer told me that antiviruses aren't really needed and he thought they were a waste of space for users who know what they're doing. He added that all they do is take processing power and that if a virus is going to infect you it will do so without the AV doing anything. I just want to raise this point because I am considering removing my Avast subscription and if it actually would be ok to do so. Before launching any suspicious files I test them in various online/local sandboxes to ensure they do not infect my system sinc
  8. I understand there's tricks/exploits certain malware use to fool the user who is running an infected application sandboxed that it is safe. But how does it do that? I recently came across a file I scanned in an online sandbox which upon execution, launched 2 RATs that installed themselves along with adware applications that bombed the sandbox with downloads to millions of ads. I know developers can 1. Put out a fake warning to make it seem like the application errored and nothing malicious has launched 2. Use exploits to break out of the sandbox and infect the PC(rarely seen this myself)
  9. Hi, First why i had not been notifed that new version is available and if i can upgrade simply download new version?? Second detected empty folders as malware....(screen) Third - when i want open program from taskbar then must wait cca 15 - 20 seconds while open main gui..
  10. Hello all, I wanted to make everyone aware of an issue that we have while participating in the open beta. Our first issue that we have run into is a false positive on malware\ransomware where the software identified one of our applications (authenticat.exe) as a ransom agent. This false positive is in actuality an application that is installed via group policy by us. It authenticates the end user to our M86 web filter and authorizes traffic restrictions and freedoms for web browsing. On the other hand, when the software was needed it had unfortunately missed a rather bad case of rans
  11. Just after running Ccleaner Free v.5.08.5308 (64bit) I received a "Ransomware Detected" notification. I have also added Norton Security Suite 22.6.0.142 to my MBARW exclusions but continue to notice Norton Blocks or MBARW. A Norton block occurred as the ransomeware detected notification appeared. 12. This morning malware bytes blocked 4 outbound attacks (for lack of a better term), all with the same time stamp. The site referenced is click.watchjmp.com, 54.219.179.252. It was coming from firefox.exe. I'm unable to find much of any information about this site. I was on msn.com reading an article, and had a flickr site open, and one other normal, non-suspicious webpage. Has anyone had a similar incident? I'm not sure what to make of the fact that this was an outbound attack....
