  1. I restarted my computer to complete the quarantine process from Malwarebytes when I received a blue screen. At first, it was a srttrail.txt error but now I'm getting a critical process Died error and I'm not able to go into safemode or go to a restore point.
  2. This error occurred many times a day but seemed to stop when I eventually (after four reboots) got it to upgrade to v4 from v3. It has now returned. I notice it because my web browser (Firefox or Chrome) becomes unresponsive and things like the Event Viewer or Task Manager don't load until the fault has cleared itself after maybe 15 seconds. This is MalwareBytes Premium v on Windows 10 Professional v 1909 The event viewer entry is below. 3. Hi, I installed the trial verison of Malwarebytes 3.6.1. Have looked on the forum, but how can you do any of the things recommended if the laptop just freezes. Can't open a thing, have rebooted (manually), so many times today I have lost count, and now patience is turning to despair. PLEASE HELP
  4. Short version of the problem: Whenever I press the little bell icon in the top right corner Malwarebytes just completely crashes. Rebooting does not help, ran repair with the Malwarebytes suppport tool. But nothing changed and it still crashes as soon as i click the icon. I have to forcibly close malwarebytes and restart it to get it to work again. When did it start / order of events (some of it might be unrelated to the problem): - I was watching a random youtube video. A little add popped up on the video I want to click on the 'x' to close it but missclicked and clicked the banner instead opening up the site it advertised. - Malwarebytes instantly blocks the site due to 'POP', (which im guessing is 'PUP' but since my malwarebytes is in dutch its says 'POP' instead.) - Just in case I update my virus definitions and run a malwarebytes scan, followed by Norton antivirus scan. Both scans found nothing. - While im scanning the 'Bell icon' still works since im using it to check the notification and what site was blocked etc. (the blocked Domain was "free.gamingwonderland.com") - A very short while after the scans I want to use the bell icon again to click the thing that says I saw the notifications and mark it as read or something. - This time as soon as I click it Malwarebytes crashes and freezes up, but I just assume its a one time problem and turn of my computer cause I got to go do some other stuff. - I came back not long after and started up my computer and again want to use the icon in the top right corner. As soon as I Click it Malwarebytes crashes and freezes up again. - I decide to reboot my computer (during which windows seems to do a quick short update). After reboot it still crashes. - I download Malwarebytes support tool to repair malwarebytes, which seems to do a reinstall of malwarebytes. After which the problem presists, it still crashes when pressing the button. --------------------------------------------------------- I am not super knowledgeable about all this. So, I need some advice. How do I fix this, and do I have anything to worry about with the POP thing. Could they be related or is this just a coincidence. Help is appreciated. :)
  5. A bunch of weird things is happening: Restarting at random points Also, now I noticed a way to get passed it, by clicking on the icon on macos but now it is not working. Mail seems weird with notifications fading I am on version macos 10.12.6
  6. For about a month, I have been getting messages that Malwarebytes web protection is turned off. When I try to turn it on, it will not turn on. The computer has to be restarted. I have also been getting Blue Screens of Death. I have scanned the computer with Malwarebytes, AdwCleaner, Kaspersky, Windows Defender, and Sophos. Of these, only Sophos detected anything at all; a PUP called Softonic. First, Malwarebytes is, according to Malwarebytes, supposed to detect Softonic. So it's really disturbing to find that it isn't. Second, any suggestions as to what to do? Thanks.

The perfect catch 22 situation. What can I do? I ma using Windows 10- 64 Regards, Vladimir
  9. I have a brand new IbuypowerPC BB930 and i have used malwarebytes for years .... It ran on my old windows 10 machine fine, so no idea why it is crashing. 3 straight times it crashes about 75% of the way through scanning 2 of my hard drives. error "We're sorry but the malwarebytes service stopping working. it will now restart or something like that" ... no screenshot. 11. Yesterday my PC was fine, when I started this morning, I notice it was super slow to load, when opening taskmgr I noticed 10 thousand processes of javaws.exe running, please anybody can help me?
  12. I just tried to play Guild Wars 2 after some time, but every time I start the launcher, it crashes and the report says that LavasoftTcpService is the cause. I once had a Lavasoft ad-aware (by accident) but deinstalled it completely. But now the file is in my Windows/SysWOW64 folder and wont go out. If Itry to delte it, it says it does work along with open progresses and no matter how many progresses i shut down with the task manager, it won´t delte. If i start in saFe mode and delete it, my intenet doesnt work anymore, so it somehow can be deleted, but it is kind of fishy. I realy don´t know what do do with this .dll and how to remove it. I know that in these forums there was someone who had the same error as I have and they somehow fixed it. I hope you can help me in some way... Attached are the Farbar Recovery Scan Tool reports, maybe the can help, though part of them are in german... I hope someone can help me, I´ve been looking for a solution for days now, but nothing seems to work. Your Speaking Hat Addition.txt FRST.txt
  13. Hi all, I'm new in this forum and I installed this your program because blizzards GM recommended that. Let me start from beginning: I play at World Of Warcraft and it started crashing, I followed the Blizzard's guide to fix it with no results. So I opened a ticket to blizzard and I submitted some logs they asked for. After that they affirmed I got some Malware and they told me to install Malwarebytes to fix it. After installing it i started an analysis and it could not end it, infact during the last fase it stop working every times. I give you files u request for on other topics. I'm not skilled in using pc as an informatic user so please if u have to tell me somethings to do, do it phase to phase really clear, thanks for understanding. regards. 15. All right, this is driving me up a wall and I really need help because I need this laptop functional to work on my tiny art business. A few days ago, Malwarebytes gave me an alert saying that the database was corrupted or missing. I told it to update itself and it did. It seemed to work fine for a couple days. Then the program crashed completely and I had to restart my computer to bring it back up. When I did, it was behaving fine. As of last night it started randomly disabling the malicious website protection. I would go in and enable it again and it would be fine for a while before disabling again. This morning, it now refuses to enable at all. I click to fix it and nothing changes. Went into the settings themselves and clicked to enable it, but the dashboard still shows that malicious website protection is disabled even though the setting itself is staying on enabled. What the devil is going on? I'm running a virus scan separate from MWB right now but I can't imagine there'll be anything there; I almost never have anything detected on MWB and I don't think Security Essentials has ever found a virus. Is this some kind of broken software issue? Because I am seeing several other very recent threads in this forum about MWB acting doofy in similar ways. Help would be appreciated, the quicker the better since if there IS a problem with my system I need to resolve this before I go about making any more transactions for my business.
  16. I have used MBAM for a long time now and have never had any troubles with it. However, ever since I downloaded the new version (the current version), I have had many issues. If in the slight chance that MBAM decides to cooperate with me, I will run a scan. However, usually half-way through the scan MBAM simply quits on me and shuts down completely. More recently, though, every time I try to start MBAM up, it does not let me click buttons. If I click on "Scan Now", the program does nothing. It was as if I had not even clicked anything at all. This is the same with "Settings, Scan, History, Update Now, etc." Sometimes the program will just close down. I already restarted my computer, downloaded MBAM clean and used that, redownloaded MBAM, but nothing seems to work. I do have Avast, if that matters at all. Please help. Thank you!
  17. Hi im new on here and i think i have an infected PC, iv'e probably had malware on it for a long time and i didnt even realize it was on here. I just recently discovered and learned about malware and what it is and iv'e probably been infected for about 2 or 3 years. Can someone please help me removing it? I downloaded Malwarebytes and installed it then it ran normally then i i noticed it said at the top "a scan has never been run of your system" and it also said to update (which i think is odd because i just downloaded it), so i clicked on that and it started to run then right after a message popped up said "Malwarebytes has stopped working, a problem caused the program to stop working correctly..." So i then decided to go online and see if other people had the same problem i have, and i found that quiet alot of people do have the same problem. So i was browsing through some posts on this forum and it said you can use Malwarebytes Anti-Malware Chameleon to try and start Malwarebytes, so i did and it worked, it opened it and started to attempt the update but it stopped working again right after. I also learned that it could be a virus i have on my computer that preventing it from working, So when it stopped working Chameleon said it was still updating so i thought maybe it was stuck because on Malwarebytes Anti Malware it said the same thing as before "Malwarebytes has stopped working, a problem caused the program to stop working correctly..." so i closed it then on Chameleon it said: failed to start the update, killing known malicious processes, please wait... mbam-killer timeout set to 1800 seconds mbam-killer is scanning, press c to cancel then it started doing a scan, then i eventually pressed C and canceled it (because i dont know what it was doing). then after i tried again and again then it randomly worked, Chameleon successfully opened Malwarebytes Anti Malware and it started doing a scan (i dont know if it was updated successfully though, i dont think so) it preformed a Threat Scan and it found over 200 detected objects, that i then quarantined. After that it seemed everything was working properly and everything was good. (that was yesterday) Today i turned on my computer and tried to open Malwarebytes and it wouldnt open at all, not even with Chameleon so i browsed the internet again for an answer to my problems, wound up back on this forum reading peoples posts. i found this topic: https://forums.malwarebytes.org/index.php?showtopic=148358#entry828721 seems like a similar problem i have, so i followed the steps that Firefox posted, i downloaded MBAM Clean Removal 2x, and then followed through with those steps from this topic: https://forums.malwarebytes.org/index.php?showtopic=146017 (METHOD 2, FREE version is what i went with) it deleted MBAM then i restarted my computer and it was gone, so it worked. Then i downloaded the latest version again like it says to (thats what i have installed now) i try to update it again and it doesnt work, it keeps crashing. Im wondering also from before those 200+ detected objects that i quarantined, what happend to them? since i deleted the entire program their not there now. It still wont let me scan or update though. Can someone help? am i doing something wrong? Is a virus/malware preventing me from using MBAM? if so how can i remove it entirely? If anybody can help that would be great, thank you!

  19. I need help with removing this Trojan and making sure that my computer is Threat Free. I cannot seem to fix it on my own. Malwarebytes detects it each scan and "removes" it but it does not. Please help... I cannot replace this laptop. It is my Lifeline....Thanks a Lot!
  20. I am using Windows 7 and this is my first time using Malwarebytes. After scan, there is a button to show all results. When i click on it, they say that i can delete the files. When i press delete, nothing happens and after a minute windows prompts me that Malwarebytes has crashed. I have done everything stated in section L of the FAQ but it doesn't work. I tried it on 2 separate computers. Both are not working. Please help me thanks! There are many infections
  21. Hi, I am running Windows Vista Home Premium SP2 32-bit on a Dell Dimension DXPO61 Intel Core 2CPU 6700@2.66Ghz with 4GB RAM. Malwarebytes has been hanging and freezing every time I run a scan lately. I have to do a hard re-start and the scan will not complete. I am also running Avast. I tried running the scan in safe mode and the same thing happens. I should mention that Windows has been unable to complete and install updates for quite some time. My computer is becoming unusable. Please help!
